If you are hesitating on visiting, don’t! Extremely warm and welcoming atmosphere. We were greeted and escorted out by the Chef himself. The attention to detail from each dish, the selection of music, and furnishings are a true reflection of how attentive the Chef and his team are! We enjoyed our experience so much we extended our trip and came back a second time the very next day! We were pleased to be able to sit directly in front of the Chef and see everything be prepared. The joy they have to serve is undeniable. It feels like you’re home with family! This wasn’t just a restaurant but an extremely personal experience. The staff made sure to explain each dish to be sure to offer the best recommendations — did not disappoint. The raw fish dish is not something I would typically go for but I’m glad I did! The creativity of each dish, unique textures with the perfect flavors! Each dish is made with fresh ingredients and prepared with care and intention. This is far from grab and go, perfect things take time! We wish Chef Didi and his staff infinite success!

So nice, we had to visit twice! Great restaurant, with amazing service, and an intimate family vibe. The owner (dual hatted as the chef) is welcoming and you can easily watch him cooking in the kitchen from your table. The waitress is equally as warm and made sure we had everything we needed. We tried both the menu and the course meal and both were delicious. We will definitely return when we’re back in Tokyo. 🫶🏾🙌🏾

We had such a lovely experience at DiDi’s. We arrived about 30 minutes before close and Chef graciously let us come in and order with no rush. Our waitress was also lovely and gave us great recommendations. The waygu beef sauce ragout was absolutely delicious! We also enjoyed the steak, truffle mash potatoes, and mixed veggies. Highly recommend this place.

My wife and I visited Didi Grande shortly after moving to Japan from Hawaii. It came highly recommended, and it served as our first date night since finally finding a babysitter. The ambience was warm and inviting, yet intimate. You have a full view of the kitchen and can watch the chef and his team work their magic. We opted for the ¥10,000 Premium Food Course, seven items featuring A5 Wagyu steak, plus the all-you-can-drink option. It was the perfect introduction to the restaurant’s cuisine, and everything was exceptional. The Caesar salad wasn’t your traditional Caesar: large pieces of romaine, a creamy sauce, fresh breadcrumbs, and real bacon crumbles. Disclaimer: I’m not big on seafood and rarely eat it. But the fried calamari included in the course was great. Really great. Perfectly fried, tender, not oily, and not the least bit fishy. A fantastic appetizer. Next came a shrimp soup of sorts (sorry, Chef, I can’t remember the name of the dish), followed by the pasta, which my wife and I were fighting over. Then the chicken: moist, flavorful, and I wanted more. Then came the steak, the star of the show. Say it with me: phenomenal. Paired with wasabi and salt? Amazing. The mashed potatoes were perfectly whipped, and the fried kale balanced everything beautifully. Last was the cheesecake, which surprised me with just how good it was. All in all, this course is the best-value way to experience everything, and the all-you-can-drink option makes it a no-brainer. Next time (and there will be a next time) I’m coming back for the steak, that calamari, and the drinks. *I couldn’t finish this review without mentioning the wonderful hospitality of Chef Ritchie. He makes you feel welcome, and the passion and craft he’s devoted to his cooking shine through in every dish. He genuinely wants each guest to have a memorable experience, from his handshake greeting, to taking time to chat with his customers, to simply being engaged in the atmosphere. I cannot recommend Didi Grande enough.
