Nice bistro. Professional cooking with simple ingredients. Well used the Iron plate and all food served hot and with timing calculation. Very warm service. Staff are not good at English but they are kind (there are English menu). I like the potato chips (simple garlic and herbs), pork chop is great too.

Great reasonable lunch set (weekdays only) for 900 yen. But one is the ubiquitous curry rice, the other paella but I am allergic to that (no fault of their's), so ordered the Hayashi rice which was a bit too salty. Nice Cody decor though. Will come back if their menu changes.

A shop with an appealing stylish atmosphere where you can enjoy dishes made with Nambu cast iron, along with wine. The calm, grown-up space that opens up once you head down to the basement was very comfortable. The most popular beef harami was super tender, with perfect doneness and seasoning! The grilled vegetables cooked in Nambu cast iron let you taste their natural sweetness and were really delicious. The raw mushroom salad recommended by the staff was packed with an almost ridiculous amount of organically grown mushrooms; because they're so fresh they can be eaten raw, and I was moved by how delicious it was! The fava bean soup and the mussels cooked in an iron pot, packed with umami, were all delicious too — I was very satisfied✨ The desserts also caught my eye, so next time I'd like to come back and take my time. A grown-up hideaway bistro where you can enjoy piping-hot iron-pot dishes: the owner, who hails from Niigata, uses ingredients like vegetables and 妻有ポーク sent from his hometown of Tokamachi, and grills them to a fragrant finish in Iwate's traditional craft, "Nambu cast iron." It's about a 3-minute walk from Exit 1 of Akasaka Station on the Tokyo Metro Chiyoda Line. It's located on Hitotsugi-dori. With the stylish, cute signboard in sight, head down the stairs to B1F. Open the door and a stylish, calm space that is every bit a bistro spreads out before you. Everything on the menu looked appealing and I struggled to decide, but this time I ordered the following. Orders are placed verbally. ----------------------------------------------- ・Raw mushroom salad shipped direct from 長谷川農産 (Regular size) 858円 ・Jumbo mushroom steak in Nambu cast iron 1,298円 ・Beef harami grilled in Nambu cast iron (160g) 2,728円 →Total: 5,434円 (tax included) ※Prices as of April 2026 ※Includes 550円 amuse charge (tax included) ----------------------------------------------- 【Raw mushroom salad shipped direct from 長谷川農産 (Regular size)】 First, a raw mushroom salad made generously with premium pesticide-free, unbleached mushrooms from Fuji City, Shizuoka Prefecture. These mushrooms, which can be eaten raw precisely because they're pesticide-free and unbleached, are seriously thick and meaty. The refreshing dressing is nicely seasoned, and with its generous volume, it's a dish that goes beyond being a mere salad. 【Jumbo mushroom steak in Nambu cast iron】 A steak made with a whole, thick mushroom that's even more jumbo than you'd imagine. Inside the mushroom are more mushrooms, plus bacon, making it really satisfying. 【Beef harami grilled in Nambu cast iron (160g)】 The main is a hearty grill loaded with plenty of vegetables and big pieces of beef harami. You can taste the natural sweetness of the vegetables, and the seasoning, meat included, isn't too heavy, so even with the large amount you can eat it without it feeling cloying. Every dish had outstanding volume, and it was a lineup of luxurious dishes: carefully selected ingredients shipped direct from the source, grilled in Nambu cast iron, whose thickness and high thermal conductivity bring out the ingredients' umami. Among all the restaurants lining Akasaka, this is one I'd really like you to visit at least once.

●Sparkling wine for a toast ●Pumpkin potage ●Assorted appetizers ・Organically grown raw mushrooms ・Baby octopus and broccoli marinated with anchovy ・Fig and prosciutto bruschetta ・Pork pâté ・Scallop salad ・Œufs mayo ・Sweet potato salad ・Carottes râpées ・Lotus root genovese ●Jumbo mushroom steak in Nambu cast iron ●Beef harami grilled in Nambu cast iron ■Custard pudding ~amaretto caramel~ A bistro in Akasaka where you can enjoy dishes made with fresh vegetables shipped direct from Niigata and Nambu cast iron. The vegetables in the assorted appetizers and alongside the beef harami were sweet and delicious. The assorted appetizer plate, combining small portions of à la carte items, has about 9 kinds so you get to try lots of things — recommended. The jumbo mushroom was also thick, juicy and exceptional. The custard pudding with a hit of amaretto liqueur that I added at the end was good too.
