Good food and friendly waiter and chef! Very good atmosphere as well. The spicy gyoza and mapo tofu hit the spot perfectly.

As a tourist who got one meal in Tokyo (long storey) this was well worth it and seemed very authentic

Food was pretty good, nice people. But the lady overcharged us and couldn’t do the math to figure out how (we gave her 3000 and she asked for 5000, so we gave her another 5000 but she forget about the 3000 we just gave and wouldn’t return it). It might be my fault for not being fluent (I know the basics) but it was not a good experience.

Tasteless meal, cheap (850JPY) and coming in a quite big portion, that's probably the appeal for most of the sararimen customer's around. I won't be back for sure.

A Chinese restaurant in the dining district right near Daimon Station. I visited on a weekday afternoon when I had something to do nearby. Inside the lively restaurant, with the aroma of oil in the air, tables were spread out spaciously, and the staff were from the cuisine's country of origin. The lunch menu had several sets combining individual dishes or gyoza with noodles or fried rice, and I ordered 【Taiwan ramen + mini fried rice】980円 which arrived in about 5 minutes. The bowl had medium-thick noodles submerged in clear shoyu broth, topped with stir-fried minced meat and garlic chives, accompanied by fried rice with egg, carrots, and green peas. The Taiwan ramen's soup was a little lukewarm, making it easy to eat, for better or worse. Along with the richness and umami of sweet soy sauce, slurping the noodles coated in chunky minced meat gave a pleasant, moderate heat. The garlic chives immediately add their distinctive character, but they pair well with the umami of the soup and minced meat, creating a good balance. I wouldn't have minded more heat, but some of the spicy ingredients had settled at the bottom, so hotter, more concentrated flavors gradually emerged, letting me enjoy the changes too. The fried rice had simple ingredients, but a gently salty, sweet flavor that was mild compared with the more strongly flavored noodles and just right. Many other customers ordered mapo tofu dishes or combinations with gyoza, so those seemed to be the specialties. But among Taiwan ramen styles outside the Nagoya type, this was a flavor I quite liked, which made me happy. Next time I'm nearby, I'd like to go for the mapo tofu dishes.
