I tried the Dandan noodles at Senkouen. The taste was decent and met expectations for a quick meal. A solid choice if you're looking for a standard bowl of noodles, though there's room for improvement.
View on GoogleThe place was empty when I entered and at first glance, the huge pieces of veggies made me question a few things, but ended up loving the mushroom, egg and pork combination. The lunch set even comes with soup and dessert for a very filling meal. Will definitely be back to try some of the other options! Crowd Size: Small Payment Method: Cash Only
View on GoogleVisit date and time: July 6, 2026, 12:53 (no queue) Order: Set D (fried rice and wonton soup set) 950円 Serving time: About 3 minutes after entering Value: Good. The fried rice portion is◎, so I think it's good. I was happy that the wonton soup was unexpectedly large. Taste: Maybe because I was tired and hungry, the fried rice was just a little strongly seasoned. Normally I might think the wonton soup was too strongly seasoned, but when I ate it, it was just right and delicious. Not extraordinarily delicious, but as another reviewer said, pleasantly average, neither particularly good nor bad. Service: The dining-room staff were polite, but they misheard Set B and Set D, so at peak times it might be better to point at the menu and communicate clearly. Atmosphere: The quintessential neighborhood Chinese restaurant. Overall: It's near Mita Station in an office district, so it probably gets busy with office workers at lunchtime. I think it's a good restaurant that fills customers up with good value. Good for anyone wanting Chinese food at a reasonable price.
View on GoogleI don't normally go to neighborhood Chinese restaurants. But I felt like giving it a try. The dishes I eat must be gyoza, fried rice, and ramen. That's the rule I set myself. And this was the memorable first restaurant. It was around 11:20. I opened the stiff sliding door. Rattle-rattle. Welcome. That was the greeting. No customers. Apparently they open at 11. Looking at the menu, there was no gyoza, but there was a ramen and fried rice set. For now, I ordered the set and gyoza. The ramen and fried rice arrived in about 10 minutes. The ramen. Yep. Perfectly good. The red chashu somehow made me happy. The fried rice wasn't fluffy with separate grains, and wasn't soggy either, just perfectly good. The gyoza still hadn't come. They arrived as I was finishing the ramen and fried rice The fried rice wasn't fluffy with separate grains, and wasn't soggy either, just perfectly good. The gyoza still hadn't come. They arrived as I was finishing the ramen and fried rice. Sadness. Thank you for the meal. The timing of the gyoza really is important. Gyoza. The gyoza. Timing! Thank you for the meal.
View on GoogleI usually bring a homemade lunch, but I accidentally ran out of rice, so I ate out for the first time in a while. I wasn't keen on a convenience store and wanted something someone would cook and serve right there, and happened upon this place. It was after 12:00 and quiet, so I was worried, but customers trickled in afterward, and the food was delicious. It's also nice to be able to eat in this area for under 1,000円. The pot of tea provided was◎ too. I had stir-fried wood ear mushrooms, pork, and egg. Such a big portion! It even came with soup and dessert. Wood ear mushrooms, egg, pork, plenty of bamboo shoots, carrots, and komatsuna. When I left, they opened the door manually and saw me off. It's a mystery why it was so quiet, but I could relax.
