Go for lunch. The duck ramen has a lovely broth and I loved the alternative use of thin egg noodles. It also comes with a small bowl of duck rice. If you're too full feel free to take it away.
View on GoogleA restaurant I often go to for work, I've been here 3 times now. Everything from the starter to the final duck ramen comes as a set. The shigureni, the tataki, the vegetables, and of course the main duck shabu are all delicious, and you end up eating nonstop, but you must leave room in your stomach for the closing ramen! Do not leave this restaurant without eating the closing duck ramen. Only after eating everything up to that point can you truly understand the essence of this place. Not a single part can be missing. Or so I think. (smug) If I went into detail there'd be no end to it, so just one line: "If what this restaurant serves is duck, then the duck I've eaten until now wasn't duck." Seeing is believing. Before you die, you absolutely must eat the duck here, or rather, real duck!!! Thank you for the meal<(_ _)>
View on Google ܰ 鴨シャブ 竹亭 ܱ -Akasaka- A duck cuisine specialty restaurant founded in Showa 56! An authentic taste loved for many years¨̮♡ ★Duck shabu-shabu 9 slices ★Seared duck loin tataki ★Kunizakari hot sake ★Takashimizu ★Honey plum wine ・Seared duck loin tataki It was so delicious topped with lots of condiments like green onion, myoga, and shiso! The searing was spot on too(ᵒ̴̶̷ ᵒ̴̶̷ )✧‧˚ ・Duck shabu-shabu The main event, duck shabu! You swish both sides in duck bone broth and eat it with walnut sauce! Since the broth isn't seasoned, it's not salty, and the duck doesn't tighten up and get tough from the salt, so you can eat it nice and tender😋💓 No gaminess at all, it was super delicious! And at the end you get to eat tsukemen! The final tsukemen comes with a soup with duck fat floating on it 8 rounds of tsukemen are included in the menu. Instead of the dipping soup, if you add ichimi chili to the walnut sauce from the duck shabu, you can switch up the flavor and eat it like tantanmen🤤🤤 Lots of small dishes came out as the otoshi! We even got extra ones partway through and they were all delicious🥹 You can get refills on the duck shabu vegetables and jasmine tea! On the way out they even gave us handmade onigiri…🥹🙏🏻 I was so happy! Great service too, it's a place I want to make my regular spot(๑و•̀Δ•́)و Apparently they originally had a shop in Aichi Prefecture and then opened in Tokyo too. There's one in Aichi as well, so people in Aichi should definitely go too! At lunch you can have duck ramen〜!
View on GoogleDuck cuisine・Duck hotpot・Ramen I was invited by a business partner and had the opportunity to dine here. It's in a prime Akasaka location lined with renowned restaurants, a wonderful spot, and since many places around here are delicious, I had high expectations. I arrived about 20 minutes before the dinner was due to start, but went inside anyway and was looked after with wonderful service. As for the food, we were served peanuts before the duck dishes, which then followed. I'd rarely had the chance to eat duck dishes, but I came to love them and strongly want to go again. The flavor is light and clean, so you keep bringing it to your mouth. The duck hotpot also pairs wonderfully with the green onions, so good I couldn't stop getting refills. For the closing ramen, wanko soba style, the staff boil the noodles in the pot and put them in your bowl. The pace of it is irresistible. The staff's service and thoughtfulness were also wonderful, making it very comfortable and the perfect match with the lovely food. If I'm in Akasaka, I'll definitely use this place. Incredibly recommended
View on GoogleHaving heard about the much-talked-about duck ramen, I came at lunchtime. You find it after going down a pretty narrow staircase. At lunch there are 3 kinds, and I had the thigh ramen and the complimentary duck-flavored rice. 1200円 Taste It was topped with a heap of shiraga negi, and the clear soup with the color of the mitsuba was beautiful. The soup has the sweetness of duck, but sadly it wasn't particularly delicious. Maybe the problem was that I love duck and had really high expectations. That said, the seasoned thigh meat in the ramen is super delicious. That part tastes like about a 3.8! The grassy note of the mitsuba actually goes pretty well. Plus it comes with seasoned rice, so you get quite full. The seasoned rice has some crispy bits too and looks good, but something's missing. I just ate it without much excitement. The price is on the high side too, so maybe coming at night is the way to go.
