I really enjoyed my experience here. You can step onto Keio University’s campus, which is beautiful. Then you see this tall tower where the cafe is located, and it’s super nice inside. The cafe is open with high ceilings and lots of natural light. The coffee was good and so were the chocolate cookies. The service was fast and friendly. Worth going to see and grab a drink and snack.

Inside the grand, retro interior, I enjoyed the popular dessert of a regular canelé topped with vanilla ice cream. The outside was savory and crispy, the inside was moist and rich, and it went perfectly with the cold ice cream. If you add the berry sauce provided separately, the refreshing acidity adds a nice twist. The chocolate sable was crispy, light, and elegantly sweet. The Darjeeling was fragrant, perfect for a relaxing tea time. It's an adult hideaway cafe where you can spend time quietly inside a historic building.
View on GoogleI went after 11 AM on a weekday and there was a line. Even so, I was able to get in right away. Since I was alone, I shared a 4-person table in the center (they asked for permission first). Because the other 3 people were in the same group, I felt a little uncomfortable, so when a seat by the window opened up, I asked if I could move, and they kindly allowed it. The staff is very polite. I had the Napolitan with milk tea. It comes with a salad. The Napolitan felt a bit overcooked. The milk tea is very sweet. The atmosphere was very good. After eating, I also saw the exhibition room on the 2nd floor. You can learn more deeply about Fukuzawa Yukichi.
View on GoogleThis is a cafe I've been interested in for a long time and I was finally able to come. Located inside the Keio University campus, it takes a bit of courage to step onto the campus if you're not a student. The reason is that there is a security guard standing at the entrance. The cafe is inside a building that looks like a beautiful Western-style house, and the interior also has a Western-style atmosphere. It reminded me of the foreign houses in Kobe. Keio goods are sold inside the store. If you are an alumnus, you might want to buy them. I thought the menu was interesting... but after a while I realized that they were using library book loan slips as the menu. I ordered an egg sandwich, curry rice, tea, and iced coffee. Everything was delicious. Since I was still a bit hungry, I had pudding for dessert. It felt like an old-fashioned pudding and was very delicious. It's a very wonderful cafe to enjoy the atmosphere quietly and stylishly. I would like to go again.
