A midday break for a Teishoku meal in a modest, welcoming setting. A waitress, as gracious as she is diligent, tends to the tables while the men work the kitchen. There is a sincere quality to these places that invariably warms the heart.

Did the 9 piece meal set with my friend and did some drinking as well. Everything here was fantastic. They were able to bring drinks and first salad course out quickly. From there, each skewer was hand-made, fried and directly brought to you. We talked with the master and his wife for a bit at the shop. It turns out the master is actually from Fukushima prefecture!! He said his secret is that he never uses any frozen food. All the food prepared is what he bought at the market that very morning.

No English spoken but with a translator and good will manageable. They were very welcoming and even changed the skewer menu into a vegetarian one.

This place does not welcome any foreigner. We were rejected because we don’t speak Japanese
