I’m not one to leave reviews, but the level of service we received was disappointing enough that I had to speak up. My friend and I decided to try this restaurant after seeing that several Korean celebrities had visited, but the experience turned out to be really disappointing. Although they greet you when you enter, the servers were noticeably rude - my friend understood their language and knew they were gossiping about us. We asked for water and they were talking behind us saying we asked for water but they don’t know what to do so we had to ask again. Unfortunately, the food didn’t make up for the poor service. It was mediocre at best and definitely not worth the high prices they charge. We only ordered 3 dishes (dumplings, pork belly, and cold noodles) and it came out to the total of 7,000 yen. They also charged for side dishes which we didn’t know until we saw the bill. Below photos are what we ordered that costed 7,000. Honestly, not worth it. I had better korean food in America and even frozen from supermarket. We were there early so there was no wait time and no other customers, however the servers were gossiping and were very loud - we could barely talk unless we leaned in or spoke louder. Like many others have mentioned, don’t let the celebrity visits fool you. This place is all hype and no substance. I wouldn’t recommend it. Eat somewhere else.
View on GoogleVery friendly staff. The kimchi is especially delicious and tastes truly authentic. As a Korean living in Tokyo, I can say this place is quite good. Please note that they charge an otoshi of around 200 to 300 yen, which is a standard table charge for dinner and very common at restaurants in Japan.

View on GoogleFAIR WARNING. My friend and I wanted to have an authentic BBQ experience so we walked in here on the 4th floor. The staff were not particularly friendly and we were served to our table at the corner of the restaurant. We ordered a set of meat and a couple of other sides like pancake. They brought a portable gas stove over to our table. First drink aside, it took ages for us to get their attention for a second round. The sides came first. We waited a long time for the meats to come. When it did, it was on a hotplate and was already cook. To our horror, the meats were cold and hard. Even the hotplate it was on was cold. In the end, we didn't get to cook anything at all. The overall experience was bad. It made us feel like they thought they could get away with it because we were foreigners but in fact we were residents here for a long time. An experience to forget. Don't let all the celebrity signatures on the wall fool you. Times change, so can people and standards!
View on GoogleThis place been around for ages and used to be much better. I recently came back (first time since the pandemic started) and find that the taste is not as good as before. The atmosphere still great, very izakaya, and drinks were great too. But if you are looking for a good Korean BBQ experience there are many other choices within walking distance around Akasaka. I would recommend order their soup or hotpot foods as opposed to BBQ.
