Someone from Kansai took me here because they said you could enjoy authentic okonomiyaki. It is in a mixed-use building without an elevator, so after climbing quite a few stairs, you find Hanshin uniforms and other items on display inside—truly Osaka. We started with the recommended tonpeiyaki. A motherly woman from Osaka cooks it for you. The pork is thick and satisfying, and it feels like the meat is not overshadowed by the batter. For the classic okonomiyaki, the mix was delicious. We had monjayaki, which apparently is uncommon in Osaka, at the end because it dirties the griddle. Apparently, adding ベビスター as a topping is the key. The atmosphere was warm and the food delicious, so I would like to return. If you get drunk, going down the stairs on the way out is dangerous, so be careful.

The staff cook the food for you. It seems to be a long-established place, and with its good location, they told us things like, “These sorts of people have visited~”.

Recommended by a Kobe local—you can't go wrong. If you are a 阪神タイガース fan, you should come.

When I went to Akasaka on an errand, I searched online for okonomiyaki and this place came up, so I went. I climbed the stairs while looking at the map and chatting with my friend, then entered the restaurant. As soon as we walked in, an older female employee said, “Didn't you see the sign saying to ring the intercom downstairs before coming in?” I said, “It's our first time here, so we came in without seeing it, sorry,” and she showed us to our seats with an unfriendly attitude. At the time, I thought it was our fault for not ringing the intercom. There were no other customers at all, so I was grateful they seated us and started looking at the menu. We were very hungry and ordered various things. Our drinks arrived first, and while we were drinking, she rudely said, “It's dangerous here, move that.” Around this point, I started thinking that this kind of service was unacceptable… The owner in the kitchen and a younger man who might have been a part-timer? served us kindly, but the woman's attitude never improved. Maybe because we did not look old enough to be dining in Akasaka, she was cheerful while cooking and serving at other tables. After we finished eating, just as I was thinking of ordering a final drink, she said, “Can we settle the bill now?” with an attitude that practically told us to hurry up and leave. We paid without ordering another drink. I thought it was such a waste, considering they serve delicious okonomiyaki, monja, yakisoba, and other dishes, and at the same time it became a restaurant I will never visit again in my life and have no desire to return to. I think they should do something about that woman's attitude toward customers.

It seems to be run by an approachable owner and his cheerful wife. They cook everything on the griddle at your table, so it's easy. It felt like there were lots of regulars! I understand why people become regulars♪ I'll come again!
