View on GoogleAround 12:50 on a weekday, I went to the udon shop 「讃岐うどん愛」 in Gaienmae for lunch. The restaurant was almost full, but turnover was quick, so there was no queue and I was able to get in smoothly. It was a hot day, so I ordered the cold udon 「梅とろろ昆布うどん」, which cost 900円. The udon arrived with a very firm chew and a smooth texture going down, and was delicious. The tororo kombu had a soft, silky texture with just the right saltiness and umami, pairing well with the udon. The umeboshi was seasoned slightly sweet and was delicious on its own, nicely enhancing the overall refreshing quality. The broth was also delicious, with a perfectly balanced flavor that was not too salty. Overall, it was a refreshing bowl perfect for a hot day, reasonably priced and very satisfying. I would definitely like to visit again if I get the chance.
