An absolutely incredible sushi restaurant, clearly prepared with passion and expertise. No matter what you order, the quality is absolutely peak and super fresh. A few menu items feature seafood exclusive to the Izu islands which otherwise cannot be found in Tokyo. If you ever find yourself on Oshima, make a short detour to this abandoned harbor and taste heaven.
View on GoogleWe tried the Bekkou Sushi and Local Fish Sushi, both were delicious and beautifully presented. It is popular so you should definitely call to reserve a spot.
View on GoogleWe had a private room arranged by the Hotel Kai Lani and ordered nearly everything on the menu. All the dishes were excellent thanks to delicious shari. We really enjoyed the marinated white fish - べっこう寿司 ー a local speciality with soy sauce and hot peppers! Most of the seating is tatami with no recessed kotatsu seating for my big feet and long legs. Reservations necessary.
View on GoogleGreat food. Local touch. Gets crowded on weekends. Reservation recommended.
View on GoogleFantastic sushi, great owners. Would give it 6 stars if it were not so hard to get a seat during the tourist season. I must have eaten there at least a dozen times, with one of my favorite snacks 'shiro-ebi' ... very tiny deep-fried shrimp that goes well with a cold beer after a hot day of fishing.
