Decent Tsukemen. This is a humble ramen shop ran by a very nice couple. Their Tsukemen is pretty standard. I couldn’t quite tell what type of broth they are using. Maybe a mixture of pork and something else 🤷🏽♂️ The broth is not too thick but not too thin either. Decent flavor. The noodles are very round and smooth. It seemed unique for Tsukemen. Lately the shop has only been open for lunch, be mindful of this.
View on GoogleMy first meal out at beginning of five-month stay. Was not aware of tsukamen style ramen. 900 yen for normal size - just enough, not too much. Rich broth, almost a sauce. Will return.
View on GoogleThis place is seriously the most legit tsukemen I have had. Rich dipping soup and in house noodles better than any I have had.

View on GoogleI visited because tsukemen 200g was 500 yen for the anniversary. There were about 10 people in line, and the shop has about 10 seats. The owner was cooking alone, and his mother was helping with serving and cleaning, so the turnover was relatively slow. Waited about 30 minutes to get inside. The noodles, called Ikeda-style, are medium-thick straight noodles, whole wheat, and have a strong flour aroma. The soup had a complex taste, but unusually for tsukemen, it felt mainly like chicken paitan. I also felt a bit of seafood. The saltiness was a bit strong, and I felt it needed more umami, but it's strange that it started to feel just right as I added lemon. However, it's a pity that there's little variety in the ingredients. The ingredients were chashu, wood ear mushrooms, and shredded cabbage, and I was like, shredded cabbage!? 500 yen is cheap! But the regular price is double, so I'm hesitant. Thanks for the meal!
