Nestled at 1-25-2 Jiyugaoka, Meguro-ku, Tokyo, the Japanese restaurant "Shunsai Shubo Warabi" is a hideaway-like spot in the Jiyugaoka area whose guiding principle is "flavor and comfort." At lunchtime, we offer set meals and kamameshi so that local residents and customers from nearby offices can drop in casually, and we make an effort to reach people searching for "Jiyugaoka Japanese lunch." At dinnertime, we create a relaxed experience through course meals featuring seasonal ingredients, dishes to accompany sake, our signature kamameshi, and more. With private rooms available, you can use us with peace of mind for dinners, business entertaining, anniversaries, and other special occasions. We also flexibly accommodate private bookings. Depending on the size and purpose of your event…

A small traditional Japanese restaurant offering honest, authentic flavors. At lunchtime, if you’re not in a hurry and feel like enjoying a good chat with friends, the set menus are almost unbelievably affordable for the quality they offer.

1000 yen lunch course. Comes with like 8 different dishes. Chawanmushi, salad, a steamed vegetable dish, miso soup, flavored rice, sashimi, croquette, a grilled dish, pickles, and dessert. I guess that's like 10 dishes. Each one is not a large dish, so that means you can try a lot of different things. And they are all made from quality ingredients. Everything tastes great, and it's certainly very skillfully and carefully prepared. Nothing is overly seasoned; everything is properly seasoned, while still letting the flavor of each ingredient shine through properly. A proper Japanese restaurant if I've ever seen one. The people here are super nice, and you'll come away from this place happy and full. I've not come for dinner, but I'm sure the food quality is just as good. And they also have a very large drink selection. Specifically, I noticed a large bottle of Chichibunishiki, which I've been trying to find forever.

It's been in Jiyugaoka for a long time, and it's cheap and you can eat a lot. A cozy little place with counter seats and a tatami room in the back. There's a fish tank at the counter, so you can eat while watching the fish. My second son loved it and often said, "Let's go to the three-tier place where you can see the fish.
