Gorgeous local izakaya. The green beans were superb, as was the pickle steak. Loved the selection of sake too. We were well looked after.

Cosy, intimate place where the one man show takes place. The chef prepares perfect sashimi and cooks a lot of other lovely small dishes. Sake is lovely too. There is no eng menu but trust recommendation and you will not regret it. I have had an amazing dinner. Thank you, Taro!

Very sweet, we loved it. We ordered a few dishes ourselves, all excellent, then asked the chef/owner to choose three more for us. They were unexpected and quietly unusual, but with the most incredible flavours; roasted ginkgo seed, hibachi-style fish, adashi tofu, and dishes we wouldn’t have thought to order, yet won’t forget. The was the only photo I got because it was too good we ate it straight away.

Stumbled upon this izakaya and we were so glad! We took the bar counter seats and saw the chef prepare everything. A one man show and we saw all the effort he put into preparing the dishes. Our last dinner in Tokyo and we were very impressed.

Incredible food, cooked simply with freshest ingredients. We got to watch the chef/owner prepare our meals in front of us and were served the best food we ate in Tokyo - all accompanied by excellent sake. Be sure to try the chicken, aubergine and pretty much everything else. Superb value. A must visit - should be a top rated place in the city.
