On weekends you can day-drink sake here—a precious spot for drinkers around Ookayama Station. The interior is lovely too, making it a wonderful space to slowly enjoy delicious drinks, whether for a second-round business entertainment, a date, or with friends. It's a bit of a walk from the station, but it's well worth it. It's the kind of place that makes even a slow walk back to the station to sober up enjoyable✨

10 minutes' walk from Ookayama. I couldn't help but say "A great place in a spot like this!"—a wonderful shop with all three: "good taste, good atmosphere, good people." First, the door you can't enter without bending over is memorable. Inside, the interior is beautiful and you can feel a calming atmosphere. The owner, who has a lovely smile, runs the place solo, so the food and drink menu is small. But every food item has a gentle flavor and is delicious!! This is exactly what "quality over quantity" means... I really like how the owner doesn't overdo it, yet doesn't cut corners. The sake is all delicious, and if you describe what you have in mind to the owner, they'll recommend something. I'd wanted to find a so-called "regular bar," and it looks like I've finally settled on one. Lastly, the installed speakers sounded really good too!

They have a full lineup of sake from Kyushu breweries. Getting to know the sake through the knowledgeable owner's stories makes it taste even richer. I'd really like people who feel sake isn't quite their thing… to step through the door once and give it a try.

A stylish bar that recently opened in the neighborhood, where a young owner from Saga Prefecture carefully selects Kyushu sake. The famous Kyushu sakes are all delicious, and the snacks all pair perfectly with sake, which is great, but the portions aren't very large, so I'd recommend it more as a second or third stop.

I went as a first-timer, but they treated me very courteously. The sake selection, centered on Kyushu where the master is from, is carefully curated, and maybe because of the location, the clientele is very high quality too. A place I definitely want to visit again.
