Local tiny izakaya with about 5 tables. Service is great and very fast. Seems popular for lunch did to the lunch combo being a good deal I went for dinner, there was a ¥500 per person 👤. They accept credit card 💳 and cash 💴. The pork and onion dish was super tasty 🐷🧅. Also the fish in ponzu sauce 🐟🥫 was perfectly seasoned.

1200 for a very balanced lunch — two half-sized main dishes and salad, soup, etc. Not very cheap, but the quality/volume is satisfying.

Truely Excellent quality lunch set (定食/teishoku) with a selection of 2 side dishes including tuna, chicken, tonkatsu etc. for a price of only 1200 yen.

Ended up dropping in unexpectedly around 17:30 on the first day of the reopening|д・)→2026/02/07 They said they were surprised customers came even though they hadn't announced anything lol I rattled the door open thinking, "Let's go have a Satsuma cuisine set meal🍚 for the first time in a while," but it wasn't the place I knew... Am I in the wrong place...? I thought, but there were no other customers, so I gave it a shot. The owner seems to be the same? (Apparently it's a sister shop of a nearby place with great tonkatsu.) It had turned into an oden and drinks place with cool copper plating. The wine-shaped lamp matches the one at my house lol The oden broth was delicious. I want to have the tofu oden again. Apparently the executive chef of a nearby restaurant prepares it. The Kagoshima whisky was delicious🥃 Customers like me grew to 3 groups... it was fun lol

Visited for lunch on Sunday, June 4, 2023 I was surprised. Lunch is a 1200 yen set meal, but you can choose 2 dishes from about 20 kinds of sides. There's a variety, from grilled to fried, including chicken dishes, pork dishes, and fish dishes. There's a lineup of shochu too, so evenings look fun as well. The only letdown is that it's mostly sweet potato shochu, and for brown sugar shochu I could only find "Lento." If the shop's name "Segodon" is meant to evoke Saigo Takamori, I'd like them to also carry brown sugar shochu from Amami Oshima, Tokunoshima, and Okinoerabujima, where Saigo Takamori (Segodon) was exiled. The shop is small, so it's probably hard to stock that much, but it's a bit disappointing. Still, the food is delicious, so I recommend it. It gets pretty crowded at lunchtime, so if your timing is bad you'll have to wait.
