What can I say. 🍜⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐🍜 It's just one of the most perfect ramen bowls in the city. From the chashu to the noodles to the toppings to the broth — it just scratches that umami itch that ramen is supposed to. A lot of places overthink it, trying to be too meticulous with the broth and too cute with the chashu. This place ... just nails it. I recently moved to a different part of west Tokyo and was missing my old favorite ramen, Rakkan in Musashikoyama. I couldn't find one that really SCRATCHED that itch. Mujaki totally hits the spot. It's not even the same style ramen as Rakkan, but I'm a believer. So, it makes me happy as a repeat customer because of the quality and flavor, but also because it earned it's spot as my new favorite. A lot of reviewers mention the cold service. Well ... the owner just seems like he's working hard. I don't think he's cold at all. He smiled at me today 🤣. Give him a break and eat his fantastic ramen.
View on GoogleAmazing food! There is usually a little waiting line, especially for lunchtime, but it shouldn’t take you long. They accept several paying methods, including credit cards. While the ramen is really good, the restaurant itself is also in a nice location and close to the station.
View on GoogleBiggest problem - service attitude. The owner was quite intimidating and looked somewhat displeased when we handed him the order tickets. Food and dishes were downright slammed onto the counter (right above the table) when they were served. Other than that, the ramen was delicious. The soup’s viscosity was perfect, the broth’s level of saltiness was just right, the chashu was cooked perfectly, and the noodles had a nice chewy texture. If you can look beyond the bad service and simply enjoy the food, it’s going to be a good dining experience. There is always a short queue, but it moves fairly quickly. I recommend visiting only if you’re in the area.
View on GoogleMy favorite ramen in all of Japan. While I use to go to the North Exit Shop, it's closed but I am happy to say the South Exit is just as good as I remember the North Exit. I use to go every week when I worked nearby. Been back multiple times and it always satisfies.
