Ramen Jazzy Beats is an off-shoot of DJ Takuro Yanase's Michelin-rated Ramen Break Beats. They serve the same delicious soup, from their signature Tori Nibo Ramen to the basic shio and miso versions. I highly recommend the shio ramen as well as their unique kuzure egg rice. The shop itself is easily accessible on foot from Naka Meguro Station (Tokyo).

Really delicious ramen that is definitely different. The chashu had a nice smoky flavour to it and both the salt and shoyu broth were rich but still light. The menu seems extensive too, I will definitely be back to try the other items including the tantalising dry ramen.

Much like break beats the ramen was delicious and the staff was super friendly, even though it’s a bit of a gourmand ramen the place still maintains the vibes of a local place. If you have the chance, the seasonal (this time dandan noodles) was a delightful surprise :)

There was a bit of a queue, but not so much that it becomes annoying and it’s absolutely worth the wait. Everyone sits around the kitchen and you watch the ramen get prepared, all whilst listening to an exceptionally curated playlist. I didn’t want the ramen to end, it was perfectly cooked, beautifully tasty and to top it all off, reasonably priced.

I’d heard so much about this ramen shop that it was high on my list for my next trip to Nakameguro. Arriving just before dinner rush, I was pleasantly surprised to find no queue. The shop itself was charming, with the distinctive rhythm of the subway shaking the shop above. The staff were friendly and spoke English, making it easy to order. We tried the shio chintan and tori paitan niboshi. Both were fantastic, with a perfect balance of flavours. The shio chintan had a subtle yet complex flavour, while the tori paitan niboshi was rich and fishy without being overly fishy like some other cement ramen I’ve tried. The only minor downside was the rare chashu. It was a bit too fatty for my taste, but it’s a small complaint. Overall, it was a great experience and I’ll definitely be back.
