A ramen shop standing quietly, almost as if hiding, in the calm residential area of Komaba-Todai. It isn't flashy, but each bowl is packed with genuine appeal. The soup is light yet has a deep flavor, and you can enjoy it without getting tired of it right up to the last sip. The presence of the owner, quiet yet somehow warm, is also one of this shop's great charms. The music playing softly in the shop is pleasant and makes mealtime all the richer. It's exactly the kind of place that makes you honestly wish it will carry on unchanged. It was a place I want to cherish, the kind you suddenly feel like dropping into in the middle of everyday life.
View on GoogleBasically, it's a place where you book as a group and enjoy drinks and conversation over an omakase course. If you tell them things like "I want to eat a lot" or "I don't like ○○" when booking, they'll plan the course for you. Sake is the main selling point for drinks, but for those who don't like it there are various beers too, and you can bring your own soft drinks (for a fee) The cost is roughly 3~4 thousand yen + whatever you drink The food is so delicate and so ridiculously delicious that the people I bring are always surprised (lol) Judging by how satisfying the food is, I think the course could easily be 1万円. The ramen to finish, contrary to how it looks, is also light and easy to eat. I really want you to try their ramen and mazesoba, which are in no way inferior to popular, authentic ramen shops. It's a shop run by a blond chef who ruggedly keeps on cooking.
View on GoogleI searched for restaurants around Komaba-Todaimae and found an interesting-looking place, so I went. Inside, the lights were on on the kitchen side, while the customer side was dark. Shina soba 900 yen. Unexpectedly, the noodles, toppings, and soup were those of an orthodox shoyu ramen. Payment is cash only. It reminded me a little of Noodle Shop Yoka.
View on GoogleI don't recommend going here as a ramen shop. I was shocked when they told me that from the second glass on, the water would be tap water. If you're looking forward to lunch and searching for a ramen shop, I recommend skipping this one. It was a truly disappointing shop.
View on GoogleIt's been a long time since I ate food this bad. I had the 香麺 mixed noodles, but first of all, it took forever from boiling the noodles to serving, so the noodles were soggy and clumped together. The owner mixes them before serving, but I could barely taste any salt, and even though it's 香麺, the oil smelled bad, maybe because it was old, and since the noodles were overcooked they were too soft; I couldn't call it delicious even as a lie. The chashu and menma were dry and crumbly too. The person I went with said the chashu-men they had was bad too. The only good thing was the owner's careful explanation. It came with soup, and he said some people mistake it for tsukemen dipping broth, but I think they probably add it on purpose because the noodles have no flavor. The soup, maybe store-bought, was just normally tasty. Sorry, but it was so bad I can't understand why this shop hasn't gone under.
