Every time I walk by this place, I think about getting the egg salad sandwich. Finally gave it a try and I'm glad I did. In Japan, you can get a great egg salad sandwich at every Konbini (convenience store). I've tried 7-11, Family Mart, Lawson's. Even had them from quite a few of the grocery stores. I often keep one in the fridge for breakfast tomorrow. Bottom line: Don't believe all those stupid online articles that say Anthony Bourdain liked Lawson's best. I'm sure he just said that for the sake of entertainment, to sound more discerning; they're all the same. When Americans first arrive in Tokyo, they're impressed with the quality of the Konbini. For good reason. Compared to 7-11 in the US, a Tokyo Konbini is like Zabar's. But after a few weeks in Japan, it's clear that the relative quality--i.e. when you compare the convenience store to upscale grocery store takeout or a good delicatessen--is about the same as the US. In other words, all the food in Japan is MUCH better, and the Konbini is still the worst. The point is, this egg salad sandwich from Loncafe is high end and leveled up. It has a much better bread quality than the Konbini: substantial, but still pillow soft. Then they stick that perfectly boiled egg on top--with it's almost runny, gelled yolk. Finally, they drizzle it with olive oil, salt, pepper and seasonings. It's delicious. At first, it seems like it will be difficult to eat, and you kind of have to eat the whole egg separate from the rest of the sandwich, but it works. A few bites of the salad egg white chunks felt too chewy, rubbery and overcooked, but it's slathered in that incredible Japanese mayonnaise, so it really doesn't matter. It's a lot more expensive than a Konbini, and I don't know if it's really worth it when there are so many good dirt-cheap egg salad sandwiches everywhere. So, I probably won't have it again until my son, who loves egg salad, comes to visit. But if you're an egg-salad fan, it's worth eating one of these deluxe sandwiches once.

Had the cuban sandwich. While it was cheesy and the bread was nicely toasted, the filling was a tad too sour for my liking. Though I do like pickles and mustard, the gherkins, mustard, and lime (served on the side) in this sandwich was just too much and too overpowering. The ham slices are just alright. Fries were a little oily, and I'm not really a fan of the shoestring varietal. Service was friendly but the sandwich took quite a while to prepare.

Stumbled across this french toast cafe from Enoshima while passing through the area and decided to give it a try. The creme brulee french toast is the most popular on the menu and it was interesting. There are a lot of sweet variations but only one savoury option with bacon and eggs. You can choose to order one piece or two pieces of french toast, which is good. The decaf coffee was very watery so I would give it a miss next time. They also have a cheese 'tart' but instead of pastry, the cheese is inside a cake. This had a rich cheese taste but I think I still prefer the conventional pastry case. The cafe is small but maybe because I visited on a rainy weekday, I was the only customer.

The French Toast here is amazing. I went in with my dad to rest from a long day of cafe hopping and boy glad we did! Ordered french toast with caramel and ice cream and we finished it so quickly. Coffee was not bad but clearly not their specialty. Place is small and cute, and I was the only male here along with my dad when we visited. It's also a nice spot for people watching.

I visited there because it was the first toast shop. I wanted to try various flavors, but I was alone, so I ordered only one type of toast. The iced coffee was good, and the lemonade looked good, too. This was because the whole place was yellow🍋 and yellow🍋!
