Locale in Ebisu is one of those rare spots that feels special the moment you walk in. The ambiance is beautiful—great music, warm energy, and a space that feels both thoughtful and relaxed. One of the best parts is watching the chef (I think she’s also the owner) in action. She’s incredibly skilled and fun to watch—working the grill, perfectly poaching eggs, and slicing avocados like a pro. It really adds to the whole experience. The food was outstanding. I had the Wagyu burger—rich, flavorful, and perfectly cooked. My mom had the Egg Commodore, and we both agreed it was a 10/10. On top of that, the chef was genuinely kind and friendly, which made everything feel even more personal. Highly recommend if you’re in Ebisu and looking for a memorable brunch.

Finally got a chance to dine here, and it exceeded my already-high expectations: absolutely phenomenal farm-to-table food from start to finish, bursting with original, perfectly balanced flavors. The plating, pacing and service were also exceptional. And the small space buzzes with the kind of friendly neighborhood vibe that isn’t common at restaurants serving food at such a high level. 100% coming back!

This was my favorite meal in Tokyo. We were wandering around the neighborhood looking for breakfast and found this place on Google Maps and it looked divine so we decided to try it. The woman who helped seat us (Keran?) made my day. She asked if we had a reservation and we told her we didn’t and within minutes we had a seat. She was so sweet and accommodating and made the experience wonderful. The food was also incredible and the ambiance was great. Beautiful flowers and music and plates. I thoroughly enjoyed it.

The best brunch in Tokyo! The Californian vibe, the fun chef and staff, and that avocado toast!!! 🥑 🥖 Kids love it; adults savor it. There could be a line so we always make a reservation. But the turnaround is quick so don’t worry if you’re in a line - definitely worth the wait!

Came here for dinner tasting menu. My friend said "It'll be great, I promise." Famous words that should be carved into the door of every restaurant that's about to disappoint you. As expected, I was greeted with the whole theatrical rundown. They asked about allergies and preferences. Promised me a plant-based journey crafted with intention. It was a journey that I should have skipped. The soup arrived first. It was the worst soup I have ever had in my life. An abomination. The kind of dish that makes you question every decision that led you to that chair... I've had things pulled out of jungle streams that showed more respect for the diner than this bowl of despair. And it didn't get much warmer from there. The whole dinner was cold and lifeless. The finale. A dessert. The moment they usually save to make you forget about everything that came before. "Don't worry," the waiter said, while removing the cake that had been in front of me just a minute ago. Apparently it was not plant based. "We've got you a beautiful selection of fruit instead of cake." A plate with 3 grapes on it, sliced in half. For the effect, presumably. 1/6th of a peach and 1/6th of a pear. A reward. The closing statement of a fine-dining tasting menu. The whole experience was an insult to money. Taking the main ingredients and sauce away and then slapping a "plant-based" name on what's left, that's not a dish. That's a confession - you're telling me, without saying it, that you never had an idea in the first place. It's what a line cook does when he's out of ideas and hoping you won't notice. Tell the table no, we can't do it. Just like any other restaurant in Japan would. I'm feeling a strong 1. Maybe generous.
