We got the chicken curry with egg and cheese topping. the aroma of the small space was very mouthwatering. open kitchen, so we could see the food being made. The curry was thicker than usual curry. Its still mostly japanese but its got more indian/middle-eastern spices than your regular curry while the egg and cheese topping brings you right back to japan. great combo. the line was long, and they only open on friday and saturday apparently. If only they open more.

I always wanted to try this place. And it did not disappoint. Home cooked level comfort chicken curry with the perfect level of spicyness. Just a small place with 4 pots and a rice cooker that serves amazing food.

First time I was able to try this place as it’s open during very specific times. When I walked in I stood at the entrance for a couple minutes waiting to be seated, they finally noticed me then gave me a menu while standing at the front door and asked what my order would be. After telling them my order I stood there again waiting to be seated despite there being open seats. For whatever reason they waited until another customer left and then guided me to sit down. When other customers came in after me they guided them to sit in the open seating areas so (I’ve thought of every possibility and have no idea why they didn’t offer me a seat earlier) 😂 The food was “decent” I wouldn’t say it looked appetizing but the flavor / quality wasn’t bad enough to have to mention it. I might recommend adding some sort of color or fresh vegetables on the plate, as is it literally looks like diarrhea on a pyramid of rice. It’s quite $$$ compared to other restaurants lunches in that area. Also the water is self service but the place is very inconveniently in a corner where you have to shuffle past and inconvenience other people to get it.

This place is... fine. We were pretty excited about coming here and after, we were left satisfied, but I wouldn’t say wowed. The curry is good—more of an Indian one vs Japanese. I like Indian curry and the flavors in Land’s dishes certainly are complex but it just didn’t do it for me. Combine that’s with the less than friendly staff, I have a hard time saying I’d come here again. Side mention: They have little signs on each table that ask people to speak quietly to prevent the spread of disease—this is fine. I don’t quite understand the science behind it but sure. What irked me a bit is the little table sign also says to promptly get up and leave when finished with your meal. I understand that a restaurant is about flipping tables but something about this message is very off putting to me. It’s not friendly or welcoming. A couple of notes: - Get here early as this place is small and people line up early. - They’re cash only.

We ordered pork curry and bean (vegan) curry. Both are very good with different types of spices blended together in harmony. The curry base of bean and pork are totally different though the color looks similar. Pork is a bit hot but manageable. We don't add any side dishes as the original portion is good enough and don't need any items to complement the taste. The pork has been slow cooked for sometime in a form of a large cube. The fat layer just melts in your mouth.
