Guangzhou cuisine, the most popular in China, can be enjoyed right here in Jiyugaoka‼ A variety of dishes made by authentic chefs!! Please come try our “chive buns,” whose deliciousness has been featured on TV!! Requests for dishes not on the menu are OK♪ The dim sum made by our dim sum chef is exquisite!! Our famous chive buns, piping hot xiaolongbao full of meat juices, and more — all must-tries!! For lunch, we recommend our extensive menu and daily set meals‼ Or treat yourself to a slightly luxurious course meal; please come with your family or close friends. 麦府 is the only authentic Chinese restaurant where you can receive highly satisfying service at reasonable prices‼ Please be sure to visit.

One cook, but man can that guy cook. Don't be fooled by the modest appearance and home-printed menus: this place is world class.

I'd been curious about it for a while and came for lunch for the first time. The timing was good and we got a seat right away. We shared vegetables and seafood in a salt-based sauce and sweet and sour pork, and also added spring rolls. There were many female customers, the plating was elegant, and the spring rolls were crispy with a light, refreshing seasoning.

On Saturday, while shopping in Jiyugaoka, I thought I'd have a daytime drink for the first time in a while, so I came here. I used to often go to 『寿福』 when having lunch in Jiyugaoka, but lately this place, 『麦府』, is my top pick. The thing is, 寿福 keeps way too short hours these days. On early days, the “preparing” sign is already up by around 13:00. In that respect, this place is open until 15:00, so it's safe and secure. Now, first I ordered 3 dim sum dishes to go with my beer. The pan-fried gyoza is the ideal gyoza: crispy where it's seared and chewy where it's folded. The filling is well seasoned, and when you bite in, meat and vegetable juices drip out — an exquisite gyoza. Meanwhile, the shrimp dumplings have a plump filling packed with shrimp that, combined with the jiggly wrapper, makes for a deliciousness that keeps you reaching for more. And the shrimp and king crab stick spring rolls are crammed with flavorful shrimp and crab inside a crispy wrapper — another addictive dish. For the last 2 dishes, I chose classic machi-chuka menu items. The old-fashioned sweet and sour pork tossed in ketchup is crunchy and sweet-and-sour, and my 2nd medium bottle was empty in no time. The gomoku fried rice to finish wasn't the dry, fluffy type typical of mainland Chinese fried rice, but surprisingly the moist, mushy type. But that's delicious too, you know. It's loaded with ingredients and the saltiness is perfect. A faint sweetness and the crunch of lettuce make nice accents — a fried rice that goes really well with beer. Being able to enjoy authentic Guangzhou cuisine at reasonable prices is one reason I recommend it, but there are also plenty of à la carte dishes that go well with alcohol, and it's great that you can settle in and drink from midday. If it were in my neighborhood, I'd probably end up going weekly — an oasis in Jiyugaoka. ---------------------------------------- 【Guangzhou Yum Cha Cuisine 麦府】 2-16-19 Midorigaoka, Meguro-ku, Tokyo ✔️Pan-fried gyoza ¥660 ✔️Shrimp dumplings (4 pcs) ¥990 ✔️Shrimp and king crab stick spring rolls (2 pcs) ¥1320 ✔️Sweet and sour pork ¥1408 ✔️Gomoku fried rice ¥1320 ✔️Beer (medium bottle) ¥690 ----------------------------------------
