The hype is real. The donuts are light and fluffy, but at the same time has a good bite to them. They’re savoury chorizo was surprisingly our favourite. It was properly spicy, with an addictive sweet-salty dusting on them. They have several outlets across Tokyo - highly recommend you to get some.

I’m donut ? Nakameguro I finally had a chance to try I’m donut in Nakameguro and it definitely lived up to the hype. The texture of the donut is really something special super soft, light, and almost melts in your mouth. It’s very different from a typical donut. It feels airy and delicate rather than heavy. I tried a few flavors and they were all very good. The balance of sweetness is nice, not too sweet, which makes it easy to enjoy more than one. The shop itself is small but charming, and the presentation of the donuts is beautiful. You can tell a lot of care goes into making them. Expect a line though this place is very popular. But if you’re exploring Nakameguro, it’s definitely worth stopping by to try at least once.

I’m donut ? in Nakameguro is one of Tokyo’s most viral dessert spots, famous for its unique “nama donuts” (fresh, ultra-soft donuts) that have taken social media by storm. Created by renowned baker Hironobu Tsujiguchi, this shop has quickly become a must-visit for anyone with a sweet tooth. The biggest highlight is the texture. Unlike traditional donuts, these are incredibly light, airy, and almost melt-in-your-mouth soft. The dough has a slightly chewy, brioche-like consistency that feels delicate and rich at the same time. Signature flavors like plain, custard cream, chocolate, and pistachio are all well-balanced—not overly sweet, but full of flavor. The shop itself is small and minimalist, with a simple, clean aesthetic that puts all the focus on the donuts. There’s no seating, so it’s mainly takeaway. What you will notice, however, is the queue. Lines here are very common, especially during weekends or peak hours, and waiting 30–60 minutes is not unusual. But many visitors say it’s worth it. Another fun detail is the branding—the quirky name “I’m donut ?” and playful packaging make the experience feel modern and memorable. It’s clearly designed with social media in mind, and you’ll see plenty of people snapping photos before taking a bite. From a taste perspective, opinions are mostly very positive, though some people feel it’s a bit overhyped compared to the wait time. Still, the texture alone makes it stand out from typical donut shops. Overall, I’m donut ? Nakameguro is less about just eating a donut and more about experiencing one of Tokyo’s latest food trends. If you don’t mind the queue, it’s definitely worth trying at least once—especially if you’re already exploring the stylish Nakameguro area.

I’m donut ? – Nakameguro This small donut shop in Nakameguro has become one of Tokyo’s most talked-about sweet spots, and after trying it, I understand why. The donuts are very different from the usual style. The dough is incredibly soft and airy — almost like eating a light brioche or cloud. When you bite into it, it melts slightly and feels delicate rather than heavy. I tried the classic sugar donut. Simple, but beautifully done. The texture is the highlight: fluffy, moist, and freshly fried. It’s not overly sweet, which makes it easy to finish one (or two). There is usually a queue outside, but the line moves fairly quickly. The shop itself is tiny and minimalist, focused entirely on the donuts. Nakameguro already has a relaxed neighbourhood vibe, and grabbing a warm donut while walking along the Meguro River feels like a perfect little Tokyo moment.

I liked the pistachio donut. The original was meh, tasted like a French toast? But less airy and fluffy. Also, please ALWAYS ASK FOR A RECEIPT! Especially this is a cashless store. They over charged me and I’m glad I double checked that. They canceled of course but I really think they should be really careful. They will also charge ¥50 for the plastic bag. Waiting time was less than 30 minutes, (12/30/2025) at around 12:30 pm
