The atmosphere is nice. But the taste... I ordered ankoro mochi, but the mochi seemed like it was microwaved, and the anko was mushy. The pickles were full of food coloring... Most of all, the tea wasn't warm at all, barely lukewarm. Since it was Sunday, I was given a number after ordering and had to wait. I can't complain too much since it's 450 yen. Yakushiike Park is fairly large, and since there are no other shops around, they can probably get by even at this level.

I stopped by after a leisurely walk in Yakushiike Park. The calm atmosphere was nice, the sakura dango was delicious, and it was very comforting. I want to go again.

The ankoromochi was delicious; the mochi had soy sauce on it, and with the anko on top, the sweet and salty combination was really good.

The attitude of the middle-aged waitress was so bad it ruined my mood. I didn't know the types or names of the mochi, so when I asked, she replied in a way that felt like she was mocking me. It was a weekday, but maybe because it was a bit busy, I felt very uncomfortable. The mochi that came out was just grilled mochi like the kind sold in supermarkets lol. I was surprised that her attitude was bad and the taste wasn't good either!

This is a tea house inside the park. There are indoor and outdoor seats. It's reasonable, the service is fast, and since it's in the middle of a Japanese garden with a nice view, it's perfect for a break during a stroll. The photo is the dango set. I enjoyed two types, mitarashi and anko. The pickles served on the side had a nostalgic flavor. Salty and sweet things go well together, don't they? It seems every menu item is limited in quantity, and they often sell out. It's a self-service system for picking up and returning trays after eating.
