Dropped by うなぎ双葉 in the neighborhood, which I'd been curious about! I went with a friend for lunch on a day off. It's a little luxurious, but I had 特重! The fluffy unagi was fantastic. My first visit in a long time, since coming here more than 10 years ago. I came because I wanted to support a local restaurant. Everything was delicious! I enjoyed all sorts of flavors, not just 蒲焼. The people at the restaurant were lovely too, and I had a delicious, enjoyable time. I haven't had many opportunities to eat unagi, but I'd like to come back as a treat.

Of all the unagi I have ever eaten, the unagi at this restaurant was undoubtedly the most delicious. Its plump flesh, fragrant grilled aroma, and refined flavor filled my mouth, making me immediately think, “I want to eat this again.” What's more, I was told this boxed unagi dish has also been enjoyed by His Majesty the Emperor, and I fully understood its exceptional quality. Enjoying such a special dish made this a truly precious experience. The small bites and alcoholic drinks were all delicious too, pairing wonderfully with the food, and I was thoroughly satisfied to the very end. I was able to enjoy a leisurely meal in a calm atmosphere and had a lovely time. I would certainly like to visit again. I am sincerely looking forward to my next visit.

I felt like eating unagi, so I looked it up on Google Map and came here. When I called to check, they said seats couldn't be reserved, but unagi could be reserved. However, they said seats were available at that moment, so I hurried over. They said they grill it after you order. My wife ordered the regular half-piece portion, and I ordered the superior portion. The unagi was larger than I expected. The sauce was on the salty side. Since it was midsummer, I could appreciate its savory taste. Is it because I'm from Kansai? I'm also in my 50s, so I prefer a sauce with less salt and a little sweetness. Perhaps it's a matter of preference. I think this price is good value.

It seems this time the unagi was from Mikawa. I asked when paying, and as expected, the origin of the unagi they serve changes depending on their supplies at the time. I'm looking forward to finding out where the unagi will be from next time I visit. Recommended for anyone who wants to savor unagi in a calm setting.
