View on GoogleI think とんでん is a very satisfying family restaurant. The food is delicious, of course, and so are the desserts. It's a shame that sometimes there aren't enough staff, so lots of people are waiting even though seats are available.
View on GoogleFantastic!! I especially loved the freshly squeezed pineapple juice. The staff squeezed it for me, (you can also do it yourself), and being able to eat whatever wouldn't fit in the glass made it feel rather luxurious. The food is also really delicious. The staff's service is wonderful, too. The interior has a calm atmosphere, and some seating is arranged almost like a private room, so you can enjoy a leisurely meal, although conversations next door might bother you a little.
View on GoogleI arrived around 11:15 and was able to get in without waiting. However, the restaurant was full by around 11:30, so arriving early seems best if you don't want to wait. とんでん's signature ジャンボ茶碗蒸し was delicious.
View on GoogleA calm interior. The staff are polite. I had the choose-your-mini-rice-bowl set from the Saturday lunch menu. It didn't feel particularly Hokkaido-like or special, but it was satisfying. The chawanmushi was the tastiest part. The ice cream after the meal was generously sized.
