As expected from everyone's high evaluation, it was the best delicious! Including coffee after eating, this beef stew with such delicious crumbling meat is only 2000 yen, too cheap! Master, take care of your health, I sincerely hope this is a shop that will continue in the future! Interior of Showa retro kissaten atmosphere is also very wonderful. I spent a luxurious time while reading a book at the counter alone😌 Thank you.
View on GoogleThe food menu is decisively only beef stew (2,000 yen including tax). There I feel the determination of this shop. The sauce is slowly simmered for 3 days, an authentic type with umami layered many times. From the first bite, it feels like eating time. It is a taste that fights with accumulation, not flashiness. Coffee after eating is Colombian beans chosen so as not to disturb the aftertaste of the stew. There is also commitment to roasting, although there is depth, it is not too heavy. I understand that food and coffee are designed as one course. Master 40 years in Shibuya, 18 years in Machida. The weight of 60 years on this road. Even without talking much, skill seeps into how to take distance with customers. Looking silent, actually reading the atmosphere, and arranging the place. That appearance is also probably part of the taste of this shop. This is not a modern style cafe. But, I think there is no shop that fits the word 'good old Japanese kissaten' so well. Food made with time, enjoyed with time. This is one that reminds me of the natural luxury.
View on GoogleI was always curious, visited at lunch on a work holiday🍽️ Arrived past 12, table seats were all full. After we entered one group, it seemed sold out? so later customers were refused. As written in the reviews that water and lowering/lifting tableware is self-service, a style where the shop owner calls from the kitchen then go to take. The shop owner seems to be after a stroke, although elderly and hemiplegia, it is amazing he does preparation etc alone. The amount of preparation also becomes limited ya. As for the food, the meat is anyway crumbling. Fat is also refreshing and I finished it in an instant. Beef stew this delicious is only 2000 yen🤤 It seems bread was finished, my husband and I each ordered rice and bread, but it suits both. Eating the last remaining stew with bread is also delicious. The amount of rice and bread is small, so do men feel lacking? This is a shop that makes me want to visit again while the shop owner is healthy. This is the right shop to choose for a wedding anniversary lunch!😆
View on GoogleThe beef stew is the best! I was recommended by friends to come eat, and I agree with the taste. You can choose bread or rice, but I ordered additional both🎵 Because I think many people upload photos of beef stew, I uploaded a photo of coffee after eating.
View on GoogleA coffee shop quietly nestled in the suburbs of Machida. Despite being along a main road, I had overlooked it due to the shadows of the street trees. The interior is more spacious than it looks from the outside, a relaxing space. Sunlight streams into the table seating from large windows, giving it the atmosphere of a stylish Western-style house. At the counter seats, Western liquors are lined up, and the moderate darkness creates a dignified atmosphere like a hotel bar. The only food menu item is [Beef Stew]; if you ask for both bread and rice, it's an extra 400 yen. The serving time is a bit long, so let's wait leisurely while chatting with the master since it's an open kitchen. The meat, Yamagata beef stewed for 3 days, has the sauce soaked well into the center, and it's so tender it falls apart without needing a knife. The sauce is not too sweet, with a deep flavor accented by the acidity of red wine. The volume is also very satisfying, a masterpiece worth visiting even from far away. The master trained at various shops mainly in Ginza, then ran a Japanese restaurant near Shibuya Dogenzaka for about 40 years. It's been 16 years since moving here, and he has been running it solo since his wife passed away. Due to his advanced age and being partially paralyzed, clearing the dishes is self-service. I want him to take care of his health and keep going for a long time, but for those who love Western food, visit soon. Because you never know how long you'll be able to eat it...
