肉料理 やまなかNikuryori Yamanaka
Opened on October 29, 2021! We offer an extensive menu so you can enjoy meat dishes—beef, pork, chicken, duck, lamb, horse meat.... and more—prepared with a variety of cooking methods☺️✨ Our top recommendations are 【lava stone grilling】 and 【low-temperature cooking】! For lava stone grilling, we bring piping-hot lava stones to your seat, and the power of far-infrared rays locks in the flavor while dropping excess fat. For low-temperature cooking, we offer liver and heart, which are thoroughly cooked yet have an irresistible rare-like texture and freshness💗 We also have steaks, sashimi, and more! And, true to our roots as a former English pub (about 17 years), we have Guinness beer and craft beers🍺 Whisky and wi…

An izakaya near JR Machida Station with delicious meat. When you step inside the restaurant, located underground along a major street, a modern Japanese space with classical music playing opens up before you. The first dish we ordered was the chicken liver, which the staff recommended we absolutely try. The carefully prepared liver, cooked at a low temperature of 54~65 degrees, had a melting texture as if it were raw, with no bothersome odor. It also came with crunchy, springy heart, which felt like a little bonus! Next was the signature main, "Lava-Grilled Aigamo Duck." The meat is grilled on natural lava stone heated over an open flame, with far-infrared rays concentrating the flavor—a dish that's fun to look at, too. Apparently the grill stand is handmade by the restaurant. The duck, with its fat sizzling off as it reaches perfect doneness, is tender, and its chewy bite is irresistible. Apparently they can also lava-grill lamb, beef tongue, and the rare ichibo cut, so I'm curious about those ^^ I was really craving something fried, so I also added an order of nori cheese spring rolls. The cheese, packed in as much as possible, together with the faint aroma of nori, paired perfectly with red wine! A little before we finished eating, regulars started arriving one after another. It was a heartwarming, cozy restaurant.
View on GoogleFirst visit, for dinner on a day off. A restaurant where both the food and the service are really great. The atmosphere, or rather the concept, of the interior feels pretty unique. Counter seats and a raised tatami area. I wonder if the interior is the owner's DIY work. That part is interesting. The interior doesn't quite match the food and service, but if you want to eat delicious food, I recommend this restaurant. You can feel the care and attention put into every single dish.
View on GoogleIt's about a 6〜7 minute walk from JR Machida Station. Since the restaurant is underground, its sign is placed near the stairs leading down to the entrance. I ordered the value drinking combo here! There were lots of snacks to go with the drinks, so it was really filling! For 2000 yen including tax you get five dishes, so it was more than good enough. If you're mainly eating drinking snacks, I think this place is a great choice!
View on GoogleIt's a bit of a walk from Odakyu Line Machida Station, but the interior is lovely, like a hidden gem. The counter seats at the entrance, the counter seats facing the back wall, and so on—you can feel the attention to detail in the design. It has an atmosphere that makes it easy to drop in even alone. The staff have a nice vibe too! First, a solo toast with a medium Sapporo draft! The otoshi is komatsuna eaten with vinegared miso. Nice. I start with the popular items here. ○Low-temperature cooked chicken liver・・ Not just chicken liver, but heart too・・ The liver is moist and you can really taste how good it is・・ The heart、、on the other hand, is crunchy and delicious. Love the contrast. It's tasty as is, even without dipping it in soy sauce. You can tell how fresh it is. ○Beef harami stir-fried with jalapeño The harami is chewy, but the flavor actually grows with every bite. And this spiciness is addictive・・ Goes great with draft beer! Delicious! The other specialty, lava-grilling・・ It's a handmade, homemade stove. I heard the owner does it all themselves? For the meat, I went with aigamo duck. Aigamo duck・・delicious and healthy! Just the right tenderness! Goes well with soy sauce, salt, or lemon. Personally, maybe I like salt the best? There was freshly fried curry bread on the menu, so I ordered it out of curiosity. Piping hot inside・・ But it was delicious! Who knew you could eat curry bread at an izakaya? Might be good as a souvenir too?
View on GoogleI went for lunch. I ordered the tonteki set meal (890 yen), and the taste was fairly good. However, even though the restaurant's name says "meat dishes," the all-important meat was so thin it made me go "huh?", so unfortunately my satisfaction in terms of value for money wasn't high. I was planning to come for dinner if lunch turned out to be really delicious or a good deal, so I'll wait and see for now. The interior had a calm, Japanese-style atmosphere, and the staff were smiling and cheerful, which was really nice.
