Maybe it can't be helped since it's offal, but the motsu-ni still had a pork smell. Glad I didn't get the large portion. The side dishes were really delicious. I'll just quietly make it myself at home.
View on GoogleThe parking lot was full. I got motsu-ni for takeout. Each portion was put in a plastic bag, with the green onions separate. It was warm. I reheated it after getting home. It burns easily, so I stirred it slowly over low heat, and since it was still warm, it didn't take long and I could eat it right away. Offal simmered together with big chunks of carrot and daikon, and atsuage. It was tender and delicious. The well-simmered broth is on the strong side, but very tasty. The offal wasn't just one type; it also included meat parts, melt-in-your-mouth soft, and despite being big and filling, it was tender and very easy to eat. The portion was hefty too, but I polished it off. The daikon had soaked up the flavor well, and there was lots of chunky offal. I took out 2 portions for home and 2 portions as gifts. At opening time the inside was already full. The day before I headed there at night from Saitama, but didn't make it before they sold out and had to give up. So I ended up getting takeout the next day. Next time I'd like to try eating in. ================================== The "motsu-ni set meal" is delicious after all. The volume is amazing. The offal is tender, the best. Drinks are poured to the brim. The liver was super delicious too. Also got "souvenir motsu-ni" × 2. I had it the next day.
View on GoogleI thought they had carried on the previous owner Maboroshi-san's flavor and service as is, but it was at a level where I won't be going a second time... I originally wasn't much of a fan of motsu-ni, but Maboroshi-san's motsu-ni made me love offal and lemon sours! Combined with the previous owner's personality, I was so shocked when it changed to Igarashi-san that I couldn't bring myself to go for a while, but I decided to go again after a long time and visited with my husband at lunchtime, and was shocked... It was just salty, and the vegetables had absorbed so much flavor I couldn't eat them... My favorite cuts weren't in it either, it's a completely different thing from Maboroshi-san's...
View on GoogleA popular motsu-ni restaurant. I visited after hearing from a friend that it's good. It opens at 11:00, and people were already lining up?! You'll understand why once you eat 🫣 This time I ordered the set meal, it was voluminous and the cost performance was the best 😀 A place worth the travel time 🏬
View on GoogleA motsu-ni restaurant in Machida. The lunch menu is mainly motsu-ni The meat is probably pork offal. Thin meat in chunky pieces with daikon, carrot, and fried tofu. The flavor is red miso based It's topped with green onions, but adding extra green onions makes it more appetizing. Large rice is available for free. Refills cost extra It's not outstandingly good, but it's a reassuring flavor. It's a shame the offal was so thin. There's fat on it too, so it might be tough for people who don't like that. The egg soup with the set is Chinese-style broth with beaten egg and wakame. Thanks for the meal. Oh, and they should take down the notice posted in the toilet.
