Visited week 10 of 2026 (March 2–March 8) Plain omurice, 800 yen. The buttery flavor bursts through the fluffy egg hat. Man, this is tasty. Inside is chicken rice. The classic, orthodox style. It may be a restaurant attached to the civic hall, but its skill is not to be underestimated. I stand corrected ヘ(゚∀゚ヘ) Visited week 15 of 2025 (April 7–April 13) Panko-crusted baked mackerel with tomato sauce. A daily special enjoyed at a café-restaurant attached to an event venue. An elegant moment away from the bustle in front of the station brings bliss to the heart (#^.^#)
View on GoogleWent for lunch a little after 11 Had the pork curry from the daily lunch 750 yen, hmm, the regular beef curry also comes with the same soup and salad for 700 yen, maybe that would've been fine too? Well, the taste is about what you'd expect It's curry, after all But the tables have tablecloths on them There's some thoughtfulness, which I think is nice The prices are probably about the same as the city hall cafeteria right next door? Thanks for the meal
View on GoogleApril 2026 I had some business at city hall and stopped by for lunch. Once you're done eating, you take your dishes to the return counter yourself (self-service).
View on GoogleCame back again. Had the kitsune sanuki udon (500 yen). The AC was nice and strong, so I got to cool off. Came back again. Had the spice-scented katsu curry (850 yen). The katsu is small and thin, but well, at this price… You buy a meal ticket first and then get shown to a seat. I had the omurice (850 yen). It came out ridiculously fast. I wish the egg were runnier. The taste was decent, just normal good.
View on GoogleA restaurant on the 1st floor of Machida Civic Hall. Since it's inside a public facility, everything on the menu is reasonably priced, and there's a wide variety, from the daily lunch to Western-style dishes like curry and omurice, all the way to ramen, udon, and soba. The taste is, well, so-so, but since it's easy to just drop in, I find it really handy. Also, there's no forest anywhere around here, so why is it called 「森のレストラン」 (Forest Restaurant)? What's up with that? Oh, right, this place's address is Morino, Machida City. So that's what it is…
