Very Beautiful place.

View on GoogleFrom Tsurukawa Station on the Odakyu Line, take a bus to Nozuta Shako. From there, it's a 10-minute climb up a steep slope to get there. I was happy to receive nanohana (rapeseed flower) seeds for next year. It's a small public museum, a pleasant place.

Hands-on workshops are also held: oil pressing using rapeseed harvested in the Nanakuniyama area takes place once a month. That rapeseed oil is also sold. Depending on the season, soba harvested in the Nanakuniyama area is sold as well.
View on GoogleMorning-picked vegetables from a welfare farm are sold from around 9:30. Most are 100 yen a bag, and they're all fine vegetables. They grow rapeseed, extract the oil, and sell it for a limited season. It's across from the peony garden, and on clear winter days you get a beautiful view of Mt. Fuji.
