The staff were nice and the atmosphere was ordinary, like a restaurant on the upper floor of a mall, but the taste was terrible. I ordered the omurice and soup set. The omurice only had aroma, no taste, the 16-grain rice was mushy, and the shrimp on top was still cold. The soup was heavily seasoned, and while it had ingredients, it was almost all enoki mushrooms, so many I wondered just how much enoki I was supposed to eat. The salad had way too much dressing, not just on top but plenty inside too, it felt like I was drinking dressing. I couldn't finish any of it. It's a shame, since the staff were nice. I gave 2 stars for the staff.

I went for lunch, and I wish I'd checked the reviews here before going. The samples at the storefront looked tasty and seemed healthy, so I went in. I ordered the lunch plate with a choice of 2 soups and switched the staple from bread to multigrain rice. The soups were minestrone and pumpkin potage. The minestrone was decently tasty, but the pumpkin potage seemed like dissolved powder. Powdery, thin, and not tasty. The multigrain rice was kind of dry too. This amount might be fine for women, but men should skip it. You get what you pay for at this cheap shop. The staff's service was good, so I gave a bonus 3 ☆.

For lunch on the last day of the three-day weekend, I headed out to 『eat more soup&bread』 in the restaurant area on the 9th floor of Lumine Machida (^^ゞ Two-soup plate 〜 Beef stew & luxurious lobster bisque♪ Comes with salad and bread, 1628 yen including tax! The beef stew packed with chunks of tender meat and the soup bursting with rich shrimp flavor were both deeelish〜(•‿•) You can choose from 20 soups + 8 summer menu items, so I ended up staring down the menu for a while (lol) For an extra 550 yen you can add all-you-can-eat bread, but as a self-proclaimed dieter, I held back (^.^;

It's a shame the flavors were strong overall, and the onion gratin soup I chose was super lukewarm. I almost wanted them to reheat it.

I was disappointed because the dish was completely different from the sample displayed in front of the shop. There was barely any sauce on it, and it wasn't a gratin……. Really disappointing.
