I visit at lunchtime on days off. My favorites are 鶏の一枚揚げ定食 and おたふくオムレツ. Cheap, delicious, and generously portioned. They also have sweets such as フォンダンショコラ and メープルトースト (topped with ice cream). I'm always impressed by the owner's culinary variety, and always leave full. I really hope they keep going for a long time. (Added August 2025) Visited after a long time. Perhaps due to various circumstances, this place has raised its prices like everywhere else. A shame, but it can't be helped……the taste and the owner's service are still faultless. I was satisfied and absolutely full. (Added July 2023) Ordered miso-flavored 鍋焼きうどん. It arrived bubbling away in a hot stone bowl. It was an intensely hot midsummer day, but the toppings were plentiful: shrimp, shellfish, pork, lots of vegetables, and egg. The udon had absorbed the flavor nicely and was delicious. The おたふくオムレツ was as fluffy, creamy, and delicious as ever. I'm glad I went.

View on GoogleI had ボンゴレ (690 yen) and オムライス (790 yen). The ボンゴレ used relatively thin pasta (about 1.5mm), but the sweet butter-and-soy-sauce flavor was delicious, and there were quite a few clams. The オムライス was the modern style where you split open a soft-set omelet. The omelet contained cheese, and the acidity had been cooked out of the chicken rice, so it was delicious and to my taste. They also had 焼きうどん and a サバ set meal, so there was plenty of variety. Apparently it takes on an izakaya-like character at night. I went on a Saturday, and it was still open after 21.
View on Google2026.04.04 喜谷さん's son had gone out in the morning for his club's new-member welcoming activities, leaving 喜谷さん alone and somehow craving オムライス. After considering where to go, he decided to launch a reconnaissance-in-force visit to 本町田厨房らな for the first time in 2 years… but farsighted 喜谷さん struggled to find ふわとろオムライス (990 yen including tax) on the menu. While struggling, he changed his mind and decided on とろ〜りチーズの焼きカレー (1,290 yen including tax) today. After waiting 20 minutes, the oven-baked cheese curry arrived. The bowl made me think, “Is this stone-bowl bibimbap?!” The curry was gentle, prioritizing richness over acidity or heat. A soft, runny egg was also hiding between the curry and cheese. I kept mixing everything together until it became one. With a fair amount of cheese, the curry's spiciness had practically disappeared, but thanks to the hot stone bowl, it stayed piping hot and delicious until the end. 『らな』 was working hard solo again today. There were no other customers when I entered, so I thought the food would arrive relatively quickly, but apparently Uber couriers were lining up. These days, you can't tell how busy a restaurant is just by looking…(*´ω`*) 2024.03.10 After chauffeuring his mother to 国立 to visit his great-uncle, 喜谷さん returned to 町田 for a late lunch. This time, the reconnaissance-in-force target was 『らな』 in the 藤の台団地 shopping area. The place is known for its 鶏モモ一枚カラ揚げ定食 (890 yen including tax). This time, Mother Mother chose 鶏モモ一枚カラ揚げ定食, while 喜谷さん chose チキンカツカレー (990 yen including tax). First, the chicken katsu wasn't a whole fried chicken thigh. There were 4 pieces' worth of light, bite-sized chicken katsu resembling chicken tenderloin, all cut into 2. The curry was mild in both heat and acidity, with slightly stronger richness. The meat was fall-apart tender and scattered throughout the sauce. Because the sauce was light, there was more sauce relative to the rice. It was a curry children could comfortably enjoy too. Meanwhile, Mother's 鶏モモ一枚カラ揚げ had a garlic-and-soy-sauce base, but the seasoning seemed restrained. Perhaps that is a consideration typical of a dining place in a housing complex with many elderly residents. 『らな』 is an izakaya in the 藤の台団地 shopping area, apparently run by the owner alone, with 5 counter seats and 4 tables seating 4 people each. The evening menu has plenty of variety, including yakitori, but it is inconvenient to reach by public transport from our home, so evening reconnaissance would be a little difficult…. Still, the lunch menu also has とろ〜りチーズの焼きカレー (1,190 yen including tax) and more, so I'd like to find an opportunity to visit again…(*´ω`*)
View on GoogleJudging by the look of the place, I think it has been operating since this area was built. I went in for lunch, but looking at the menu, it seems to operate as an izakaya at night. I ordered a rice bowl and was a little surprised when it arrived. The bowl was unusually stylish, and the food looked delicious. It really was delicious. The owner's personality gives the place its distinctive atmosphere. I'm giving it 5 stars, also to support its future.
