The food is delicious, so you can go in with confidence. You can enjoy a relaxed meal. When heading from JR Machida Station to Machida Civic Hall, I think the shortest route is to go under Odakyu along the pedestrian deck, then down the Seiyu stairs beyond it. The Italian restaurant I visited this time is located right there “under Odakyu.” I stopped in for dinner after listening to rakugo at Machida Civic Hall. The show ended close to 21, and going into the town center felt like a hassle, so I chose somewhere nearby. That was my reason for visiting, but it turned out unexpectedly well. Apparently, this is a pasta & pizza brand operated by Towa Food Service, but I hadn't heard of it, and this was my first visit. I entered at 21, a tight time with last orders at 21:30 and closing at 22, but went in anyway, thinking wine and pizza would be quick to eat. The restaurant was about 3 tenths full, mostly with small groups. The dining room staff were young part-timers, with a fresh, inexperienced air as they worked hard to serve customers. They were a little stiff, but that was appealing in its own way. First, I ordered draft beer (600円), followed by: * Assortment of 3 appetizers (650円) * Herb oven-roasted chicken (650円) * Half & half pizza (Margherita/Formaggio 1,400円) * Quattro Formaggi (1,250円) * Clams and mussels steamed in white wine (650円) Considering the balance of quantity and quality, it was very reasonably priced. I think I also had salami, cheese, and focaccia. After the beer, I had white wine. I've forgotten the price, but remember it being affordable. When leaving, since I couldn't make the part-timers work overtime (haha), I paid and left at exactly 22.
View on GoogleVisited in week 23 of 2026 (June 1~June 7) Japanese-style pasta with plenty of mushrooms and shiso, 1000円. Chose salad and soup. The lettuce was crisp, the soup a body-temperature potage. The mushrooms were lively, and a piece of chili buried in the pasta added a vivid red accent to the dish's flavor and appearance. Though a little bewildered by the different atmosphere from usual, I enjoyed the delicious meal (✽ ゚д゚ ✽)
View on Google20251202 Visited for dinner. A quarter of a century ago, when DONA wasn't yet called DONA and still called itself a spaghetti restaurant, I thought it was amazing for a chain to be this inexpensive and delicious. There are more good pasta restaurants now, but it still preserves that impression from back then, and I'm always satisfied when I visit. Red snow crab and asparagus with tomato cream. It was delicious.
View on GoogleVisited 2025.12.21 ・Eggplant and bacon with soy sauce butter flavor ・Mozzarella and shrimp Genovese (without shrimp due to an allergy) I had the holiday lunch. The fresh pasta was chewy and delicious, but both dishes were lightly seasoned, which was disappointing…
View on GoogleNo.121 Italian Dining DONA Machida branch Italian wine set. The wine was sparkling (Larus Spumante Brut), and the snack was herb oven-roasted salsiccia. Jim Beam highball. Total: 1610円. The bill came in a planner-style case—stylish. This time it was the Italian set, but there's a regular wine set too. Gotta check that out (゚∀゚)
