Came for coffee and dinner. We tried the pair menu (comes with appetiser, main dish, dessert and drinks FOR TWO). It was very yummy but SO FILLING for us, we almost exploded. If you are a small eater like us you may need a third person to ala carte and share. This place has books and boardgames so it can get a little noisy at night when everyone screams and cheers while playing their games, with the help of some alcohol haha.

Good for young people, I suppose. Not so accommodating to a middle-aged couple just coming in for tea and coffee. They have nice boardgames to play all about (beat my partner in Othello for the first time ever). But we probably would have stayed longer and had dinner there if the service wasn't so dismissive.

BUSOAN is a posh gem just a short walk from Machida Station. This Cafe portion of Busoan boast a relaxing atmosphere both in the day with its large sunny windows and in the evening with its relaxing dim lighting. This makes it both a great place to study or enjoy a nice dinner. The food is simple sandwiches and a few rice options for about 1,000 yen ($9.50usd). While the portions are small, the quality is excellent. Unlike most restaurants, you will be able to eat and drink in peace. If you want to order something just head to the counter. Everything is made to order so it will be a little on the slower side. This cafe does attract a younger crowd of people however, more of a mature younger crowd as the noise level was never enough to distract from conversation. 5/5 for the relaxing atmosphere, great food, and friendly staff.

I was very happy here until my very last morning today. The place is very clean and the food is generally good. The books give a different soul here. But this morning, I was treated really weirdly by the person preparing the meals. I asked for a knife and told there are no knives. Though I have used them before. Then I go out to buy for a knife, could not find any. When I returned I asked again, thinking maybe they were cleaning the knives. I asked, 'Still no knives?' and got the answer 'No knives.' Then I said , 'But I have used them yesterday!', then she quickly took a knife from a box full of utensils, and the top of the utensils was facing up. Then told, ' Here is the only one.' What is this really? ... And the meals were prepared differently than the day before, not good at all. The plate was consisting of a salad, yoghurt and a big thick slice of a bread topped with two halves of an egg. Not the type you can eat by biting! It is as if there is a discrimination of some sort by some workers and if they can do that it means they are supported. Would not want to come again really. ... And I speak Japanese, it is not because of the language.

This is the cheapest price that one can get in a city like Tokyo. The room is ok for a person looking for just staying during night times. The bathrooms and Toilets are super clean. The staff is very friendly and welcoming. Even if you don't know Japanese, it's ok as some of them speak English.
