A nostalgic and dignified atmosphere, as if you've wandered into a scene from a Japanese movie. The menu is a popular lineup for a town soba shop, including Chinese noodles. Basically, they only have individual items, no side dishes or set meals, but set menus are available only at lunch. The soba noodles are thin and supple, and the broth is delicious with a good balance of dashi and sweet-salty flavor. The katsu-don also had tender and juicy meat, making me want to keep eating. The service was calm and polite, allowing me to enjoy my meal comfortably. Payment via PayPay is supported. If you use the shopping center parking lot, they will provide a discount if you show your parking ticket at checkout.
View on GoogleI visited Asanoya, located in the lively Tsurukawa Danchi shopping street, for the first time. When you open the sliding door, the atmosphere of a nice town soba shop is very apparent. I ordered a bottled beer, itawasa, and katsu-ni, which isn't on the menu, to enjoy some 'soba-mae' before lunch. To finish, I had the Kuro-Tendon, two shrimp tempura and maitake mushrooms; the shrimp were fried well, coated in a rich sauce, and delicious. Next time I want to come back to properly eat soba. Thank you for the meal.
View on GoogleUsed for lunch. Katsu-don and Tanuki-soba set for 1070 yen. Both are mini bowls, so the price is appropriate. The soba is slightly thin and firm. The broth is a slightly rich Kanto style. The katsu-don has 6 small pieces of katsu with slightly soft-boiled egg, which is good. Payment via cash and PayPay possible.
View on GoogleThere is a legendary shop in a quiet shopping street in an old housing complex'. Following the Western restaurant [Delice] in Hyakuso Danchi and the Chinese restaurant [Gorin] in Ochiai Danchi, this time I visited the soba shop [Asanoya] in Tsurukawa Danchi. When I parked my bike behind the shop, the delicious scent of dashi drifted from the back door. When I opened the sliding door and passed through the noren curtain, inside the aged shop, there was a cute grandmother and her kind-looking son. The atmosphere is exactly like the Showa-era soba shop I visited with my family when I was a child about half a century ago. Even though it's my first time, for some reason it feels nostalgic. After visiting several times after work and finishing the menus I was curious about, I will write my impressions in the form of a personal ranking. 1st Place [Jo-Tendon]: It's my first time eating the rare Kuro-Tendon, it's a pity I didn't convey the large portion request. After taking a bite, it's not as salty as it looks, with the richness of tamari soy sauce and the fragrant aroma of black sesame oil. The ingredients are 3 thick, firm shrimp and maitake mushrooms, and together with the clear soup, it was very delicious. 2nd Place [Ten-zaru large portion]: For this price, you get 2 shrimp tempura and maitake, fried crispy with a crunchy texture. If there were colors like green peppers, it would look more appealing... The soba is thin Sarashina, with a lot of binder so the aroma is weak, but the taste and texture are good. The sauce is spicy, and if it's a large portion, it's enough without ordering other bowls. 3rd Place [Jo-Katsu-don large portion]: The classic soba shop's rich seasoning that highlights the dashi. The freshly fried katsu is crispy, and while not thick, it's high-quality meat. It's a pity that the rice, which is too soft, is overwhelmed by the sauce. 4th Place [Katsu-curry rice large portion]: The katsu is small, one piece is the size of a spoon. The curry sauce itself isn't bad but the viscosity is too loose. It soaks into the rice which is too soft, giving it a texture like porridge or risotto. Suitable for people who like to mix it. Cooking is done by the son alone while also handling deliveries, and the grandmother serves customers. At lunchtime, the set menu is popular and crowded, but it's empty at night. Even so, when delivery orders come in, he is very busy. Even at such times, I was impressed by the son who always cares for his elderly grandmother, chatting casually while cooking calmly. I was reminded of my late mother, I wasn't able to be as kind to her~ A shop loved by the locals, a necessary shop. Grandmother, I hope you stay healthy forever, and I hope this shop continues for a long time... P.S. I have uploaded the video in advance, please watch it as well.
View on GoogleI like tendon with the rich seasoning typical of soba shops. Personally, I think the tendon here is delicious. It's a so-called 'old-fashioned' soba shop. A shop that does very careful work. The quantity and balance are just right, and the price is reasonable.
