🇯🇵 - Tokyo - Yaho "A neighborhood Chinese restaurant with generous portions" 【Gattsuri Hanten Tengokuya】 A 4-minute walk from the north exit of Yaho Station on the Nambu Line. True to its name, this neighborhood Chinese restaurant looks good when you want a hearty meal. ────────────────── ■Shrimp fried rice@1000円 👍 Classic, old-fashioned fried rice, served with Chinese egg-drop soup. On top is plenty of thick sauce with 8 fairly large shrimp. It's substantial, and the shrimp really stand out, making it a very satisfying dish. ────────────────── An easy place to use for everyday meals, and a good option when you want to eat heartily. Thank you for the meal.
View on GoogleA 3-minute walk from Yaho Station toward Kunitachi Station. The name doesn't sound like it, but it's a neighborhood Chinese restaurant. There are counter and table seats. They have noodles, rice dishes, and various set meals. It's used by locals, and today there are lots of local older men. It carries the subtitle Gattsuri Hanten. I had the signature stamina bowl. It contains various ingredients, even a raw egg on top, so you can get plenty of vegetables and other things. But it tastes like the slightly spicy meat-and-vegetable stir-fry I made as a student, which is both nostalgic and a little sad. I need to try something else, but it's a little disappointing if the signature dish is like this. Were my expectations too high? I don't think I'd come to eat this. 2.9
View on GoogleMy wife likes the shrimp yakisoba with thick sauce here, and I liked their fried rice too, so we visited regularly as a couple. After our child was born, we couldn't visit and had given up, but then we learned they offered takeout and asked for it. I imagine the saucy dish was inconvenient to pack, but they kindly agreed, and I was able to give my wife, exhausted from childcare, her favorite food. Thank you so much. It's a restaurant I hope will last forever.
View on GoogleIt's a few minutes' walk from Yaho Station. I was going to Marushin, but it was past 14 and lunch service had ended... Just as I was at a loss, there was Tengokuya. Even from the exterior, it's "The neighborhood Chinese restaurant". There aren't many places to eat by the station, so I went straight in! I ordered the ramen and half fried rice set. Water is self-service. The food arrived shortly afterward. The ramen has a light soy sauce flavor, yet feels deep. I just kept eating. The fried rice has nostalgic seasoning too and doesn't disappoint. Before I knew it, I'd finished everything in no time. I'll visit again. Thank you for the meal!
View on GoogleI had the liver stamina set 950円. My first visit. I went in thinking it was a ramen shop, but it was a neighborhood Chinese restaurant. I wondered how it differed from liver and garlic chive stir-fry?? so chose the liver stamina set. The ingredients seemed the same as liver and garlic chive stir-fry, but it had chili and garlic, with a thickened, mildly spicy sauce. The heat was moderate and lacked punch, but it was quite delicious. The thick sauce coated the ingredients well. There was plenty of rice too, so I was full. Maybe I'll try the noodles next time!
