ビビンクス, advertised as “Spicy and you can't stop⋯”. 1350円 for cold noodles isn't cheap, but I ordered it to see what it was like. Although there weren't any other customers, I had to wait. The bowl finally arrived, and I took a bite⋯it felt like kimchi mixed into somen. It also comes with miso soup and an assortment of side dishes. Somen itself is simple, and finishing a whole bowl's worth of something like kimchi or pickles was hard. At the end, apple jelly came as dessert. It was a firm jelly like cheap candy-store snacks; perhaps the rustic feel peaked there? Korean home cooking? Is this what it's like? It felt more like emergency food than I'd expected. And nearly everything is around 1500円⋯anyone would think that's expensive, right?(^^;) uh

A homey Korean restaurant a friend took me to for lunch. The 3 of us shared chijimi, with authentic samgyetang as the main dish, served only in months 2 and 9 in keeping with its original role as a restorative food. It was a cold day with snow flurries, but by the time we finished eating, our bodies were warm. 玉ちゃんオモニ was very friendly, and chatting with my friends was so enjoyable that my heart felt warm, too. Perhaps thanks to the collagen, my skin was smooth by that evening! It was a special dish I'd like to eat during times when it's easy to get sick. They also sell kimbap, kimchi, and other items to take home. There aren't many seats, so reservations are essential even on weekdays!

We came to 玉ちゃんち in ダイヤ街, Yaho. This was our second stop. A restaurant where a Korean person serves authentic food! It's amazing that Yaho has such a wonderfully local place. Here, makgeolli comes in a kettle and you drink it from something like a pot—a style I'd never tried before. So nice~(laugh) I worked for several years at a yakiniku restaurant in Tsuruhashi, Osaka, so it made me feel nostalgic. The seasoning of namul and the deliciousness of kimchi really are better when made by someone from their country of origin. Both the namul and kimchi were delicious. The meat eaten wrapped in lettuce was delicious, too. Oh, the chijimi was also delicious~. The drinks just keep flowing, and the menu is full of things that look delicious, so a repeat visit is certain. Even while writing this, I want to go back soon(laugh) Thank you for the meal! It was very delicious. I'll visit again!

I'd heard about this restaurant for ages, and then found it while walking!! I was so excited that yesterday I just got side dishes to take away! Then today I came for lunch. It was busy, but they said there was a seat, so I went in! The staff are fun and chat with you so warmly! The noodle dishes had sold out, so they said they had bibim-myeon! That's what I had. It was sweet and spicy without being too spicy, just right for me. The portion is generous enough for a substantial meal. There are so many side dishes to choose from, it's hard to decide! The yangnyeom chicken and half portion of kimbap I took away were very delicious! I'll come again!

It made me wonder, is this what Korean home cooking is like? I wanted to eat samgyetang, but it was quite expensive, so I gave up and tried 【カムジャタン】 for the first time. A soup made by simmering pork backbone. You eat it while picking the meat out from between the bones(laugh). By the time I finished, I was starting to sweat. Maybe it contains things that are good for the body.
