I like private dining spaces and the flavours, choices, and service are beyond expectations.
View on GoogleSunday, entered right when they opened. 2 adults. 90-minute all-you-can-eat for 1480円 + unlimited soft drinks for 600円. Good points. The monja is delicious. A little while after opening, the monja artisan comes in to work, And carefully teaches you how to make it delicious. It's eye-opening. Menu ① mentaiko cheese, ② salmon butter, ③ ume ① a sure bet, ② a must-order again next time, ③ refreshing and delicious The okonomiyaki is on the average side. But since you can only order 2 dishes at a time, It seems efficient to eat monja on one side while waiting for the okonomiyaki to cook on the other. Bad points. The room isn't clean. The walls and ceiling have years of accumulated grime, So you should absolutely avoid leaning against the walls. (We were in a room near the entrance) Overall. I'd like to go again. Polite service, good value, deliciousness ◎. Recommended if you don't require a clean feel.
View on GoogleThis was my first visit. I'm glad the all-you-can-eat-and-drink option is available for groups of 2 or more. The monjayaki and okonomiyaki had so many topping choices that it was hard to decide, but everything was very delicious. For the yakisoba, you can season it to your liking with the salt and pepper, sauce, aonori, and mayonnaise on the table, which feels authentic and is nice. The interior has a retro atmosphere, and all the staff, though they looked busy, were friendly, so we had a fun time. I'd definitely like to visit again.
View on GoogleIt's about 10 minutes along Hoshasen-dori from the south exit of Kunitachi Station. My friend says they've been coming for 30 years already. The interior is spacious, but the building is very old. They've probably expanded and remodeled it repeatedly. The layout is odd in places, but the overall Showa-era feel is very strong, so people who like that sort of thing will enjoy it. I photographed and posted the menu, but this place simply has so many choices. Besides the main okonomiyaki, monja, and drinks, there are sweets and individual dishes too. And it's cheap. All-you-can-eat is 1480円 for men and 1380円 for women. Even adding unlimited alcoholic drinks(1200円)leaves you well short of 3000円, which is incredible value. And as for the all-important taste, it's incredibly delicious. It's already something of a hidden retreat, and I don't want it to get crowded, but I have no choice but to give it 5 stars.
View on GoogleI'd known this place was here for a while, but it was so good that I regretted not visiting sooner. Delicious! The monjayaki. Other reviews said the staff generally cook it for you, and that was indeed the case, but watching them was truly watching craftsmanship. They cooked it quickly and accurately while carefully explaining everything. I thought monjayaki would take longer, but it was ready fairly quickly, and I was glad we could eat it right away. The man who seemed to be the owner kept saying that these days, monjayaki places everywhere mostly serve something like instant imitations. I also liked how proud he seemed that this restaurant serves properly made food. I ordered the most popular item, and its reliably delicious flavor made it clear why it was the most popular. He described the browned, hardened parts as “senbei,” and snacking on those senbei while drinking sounds nice too. The interior, which feels historic in a good way, may divide opinions, but personally I think that character is part of the experience.
