It's just a hollow about 30 cm ✖️ 30 cm where you think, "huh, is it a little cooler just here?" Maybe in midsummer you'd feel the coolness, but in late October the wind was strong and it was chilly to begin with, so I couldn't really feel it.

On a hot day in July, I stopped by while riding around the island on a moped, and was surprised at how much cooler it was inside the hole than I'd imagined. The hole isn't even big enough for 2 adults to fit in, but cold air was constantly blowing out, enough to cool down my overheated body. The thermometer outside the hole read 40℃, while the one inside read about 19 degrees; I don't know if it's accurate, but it was a nice touch to show how cool it is. Actually, along the road just northeast of the cold wind hole there are several more holes blowing out cold air the same way, and I was surprised to feel cold gusts here and there while riding my moped. Everyone, try taking the road to the northeast too.

We've now stayed at Casa Yamazen for the third time. Always good: pleasant tatami rooms, everything very clean and well-kept, a fully equipped new kitchen, a short walk to the beach. A very friendly host.
