These mine cart ruins are SO cool. Apparently back in the day, they islanders used to use these tracks to transport mined resources and construction goods to and from the ocean. There was WAY more info written on their official website if you are interested: kozushima-tokyo.com It is very peaceful, and the view of the ocean is great too! This is one of the many cool things to see along the island's west coast. It isn't more than a few seconds off the road, so be sure to stop by! Also, our guide told us that no one is allowed to climb up onto the tracks. It seems like some of the "no climbing" signs have been knocked over, so please mind the island's rules!
View on GoogleIt has a ruins vibe so the way there feels rugged, but it's actually right on the main road. I didn't come from the road side; I stopped by while walking along the shore, so it was a bit tough. How do I put it, the scenery seemed like it would suit cloudy or rainy weather better than sunny.
View on GoogleI visited when I stopped by the Akasaki Promenade. It's about a 10-minute leisurely walk from the promenade. You can feel its unique charm and history. There are benches and flat rocks you can lie down on, so it was perfect for wandering around to kill time until the bus.
View on GoogleIt said trolley ruins, so I stopped by on a whim and a big adventure awaited🌟 Watching my footing, I climbed over a bunch of big rocks and in front of me, a spectacular view all to myself. It was fun, like a nature obstacle course. If you go, please be very careful.
View on GoogleIt isn't much of a tourist spot, but it was built to ship ore from Mt. Kobe out of the port. It's decaying from the waves and tides, but you can go all the way to the loading pier (rock).
