A nice lookout point to view the unique degraded slope of the island.
View on GoogleI put my camera up to the telescope and took this! Great view.
View on GoogleSuperb view. A few cars can park here, so I recommend going by car.
View on GoogleI've seen plenty of places like this on remote islands, but every time I see scenery like this it makes me happy
View on GoogleIt's quite far from the village, so walking there is tough, but it's a spot with a really great view that I'd definitely like you to visit. On clear days you can of course see Miyakejima, Mikurajima, and Sanbondake, and sometimes even Hachijojima. In recent years, you can sometimes see whales in winter. At night, it becomes a perfect stargazing spot with a sky full of stars. The dense Milky Way in summer is a must-see. Also, on clear winter days you can see Canopus, which is said to bring long life to those who see it. Since the sea breeze blows here, it gets quite cold in the colder months unless you dress warmly.
