As in the photo, this shop on 1F is so empty that you wonder whether it's closed or a grocery store?? But in front of this building, there's an incredibly appetizing, spicy aroma with an exotic feel... Where could this smell be coming from? Surely not here... Still reluctant to leave, I visited the Vietnamese restaurant on 2F of the same building, but when I finished eating and came out, that delicious smell was still there! It really is this shop! Looking closely at the sign, I noticed "Takeout" at the bottom. Apparently it's open for takeout only?? After getting home, I learned from other people's comments that they sell duck necks, pig's feet, and such, and that the delicious flavor apparently lives up to the aroma, so I'll try it sometime. I haven't actually eaten here yet, but with high hopes, ★4!
View on GoogleI often walk past this shop with its distinctly foreign aroma, so I was curious. It makes you wonder if it's open, but if you call out, someone comes out from the back. Takeout only? Duck neck meat is the 1st item on the menu, so maybe it's their signature dish? There are lots of bones, so there wasn't much edible meat. 1 serving is 2 necks for 500円, and they chop them up on the spot. Apparently there are 2 kinds: sweet and spicy, and spicy. I ordered sweet and spicy, but by Japanese standards it's plenty spicy
View on GoogleQuite a few more shops in Tokyo now advertise 鸭脖, but the reviewer's Chinese friends rate this shop's 鸭脖 (especially with extra mala) as exceptionally delicious. I'm familiar with this flavor myself, and occasionally go to buy some even though I don't live in Kameido. Leaving the storefront aside, the interior sometimes makes you think, by Japanese standards, "Is this place even open?" But if you call out, a staff member comes from the back and chops up the 鸭脖 with satisfying thwacks of a huge Chinese cleaver. Most of the staff can speak Japanese too, so it's no problem if you don't understand Chinese.
View on GoogleIt's along Kuramaebashi-dori. The chicken feet and yuba were delicious. The staff are kind too. The customers are mostly Chinese, but the food is delicious, so do give it a try!
