I had a really nice dinner at Yakitori Daikichi. It's a small place but well run. I sat at the 6 person counter. They also had three or four table seating. There were no yakitori sets on the menu. I asked and they accommodated my request by making an omakase set of 8 skewers. All skewers were super tasty. I added two more items, grilled wings and grilled onigiri (rice ball). I also had two beers. All that food and drinks only came out to 3030 yen. I chatted with the staff. There were three of them, including the owner. He said they do have other staff members who can speak English but none were on-site that night. They also have English menus if you request it. The problem with these small restaurants in Japan is that they are often smoking allowed. Fortunately this place was non-smoking! A few customers stepped outside for a smoke. Awesome! So if you want to experience that small izakaya feel with delicious yakitori but cigarette smoke-free, go to Yakitori Daikichi. I highly recommend it.

View on GoogleFantastic yakitori place, one of the best I've been to in recent times. Priced slightly on the higher side but worth it. Very cheerful staff helped me despite my non existent Japanese. I tried 6-7 different items to sample and I wanted to reorder almost everything! The gizzard, neck, chicken+green onion, liver yakitori were very flavorful. The meatball (tsukune) was crisp on the outside from the flame and soft and juicy on the inside. English menu available. The bad: A small place that only seats 2-3 parties, and then there are the counter seats. It gets pretty loud with the small space and low ceilings. The 'spicy' pork belly wasn't really spicy - just had some extra black pepper. My order came to just under 1900yen, which includes. Suntory Highball. Really good yakitori, I would definitely recommend this place!
View on GoogleThis is my yakitori go to spot in Tokyo, I normally stay around the corner in Moxy. Just phenomenal food, great service, English menu (although you don't need it, Japanese menus have pics and some staff can speak English). All in all, a very comfortable place for a bite, great food and good beer.
