This is what a neighborhood sushi place is all about. The aji tataki had a crisp, razor-sharp freshness. For the omakase 7 pieces they asked about my preferences, but in the end I picked them myself. Seven pieces, each a different kind of happiness. Sardine, anago (conger eel), and squid were the top three. Added sea urchin and oyster—luxurious and delicious. With one bottle of beer, 7000 yen. Sadly, the chawanmushi is only for 2 or more people. The bar I was aiming for was temporarily closed for a private booking, so I drifted along until I ended up dropping in here—sushi by accident. There's something homey about the atmosphere, so even a first-timer dining alone can relax. It was a good restaurant.
View on GoogleInside, it's mostly a counter bent at 90 degrees, 7 seats: 4 and 3. There's a small tatami room, but it only seats 2. The entrance says there's a tatami room in the back that seats 10, but they wouldn't let our group of 3 use it. The scallops were very delicious. Prices are maybe a little on the high side
View on GoogleFirst visit! Solo. I was nervous, but they were very welcoming and it's really comfortable. Shellfish! The most delicious of my life. One of those places only those in the know know about. A hidden gem.
