Definitively the second-worst coffee shop I've ever been to. Unfortunately I sat down and ordered a cup of coffee before taking a breath. When I did inhale I was hit by an overpowering smell of mildew - a musty miasma only accentuated by the fact that the place must have been filled with smokers during the first 50 years of its existence. It's definitely old school, with tables and chairs almost comically low to the floor. The chairs were patched up with random pieces of vinyl that had been stapled to them. The coffee, when it arrived, was utterly tasteless. For some reason the place seems reasonably popular, and a table of women sitting across from me ordered parfaits, which looked remarkably tasty. I went to the restroom at one point, which was a fatal error. It was perfectly clean, almost sparkling, but the fresh air that came through the window only served to reset my senses which were immediately assaulted upon opening the door to go back to the cafe. I will say the service was perfectly fine, but you'd need to point some kind of weapon at me to get me to return.

Koto-ku From Morishita Station on the Toei Line walk along Kiyosumi-dori and there's Takabashi Shotengai, also called Yomise-dori it's also a place connected to Suiho-san, creator of Norakuro so it's become Norakuro-do When I went in the morning they were setting up a morning market? and it was lively. Seems they hold it on weekends and holidays?? Kissa Tsukahara They do a morning service. An old-fashioned morning set♪ Non-smoking and cash only Inside the shop too it's totally Showa-era, a somehow nostalgic atmosphere The old man who runs the shop came tottering out.. so I quickly ordered morning set B♪ The handwritten menu is nice Lots of classic kissaten dishes. Lunch is a daily special, with a drink, for 800 yen like time stopped in the Showa era. Set B is a ham sandwich, with a boiled egg or salad. The old man asked, which one? Salad~♪ And coffee. A 500 yen morning set... isn't that cheap From 8:30 a.m. to 11. The coffee's tasty too♪ The salad had boiled egg in it.. feels like a great deal The ham sandwich is yummy. A good old-fashioned kissaten you'll lose track of time.

A short walk from Morishita Station, in what looks like a shopping street, there's a not-very-noticeable sign. From outside it just vaguely seems like a kissaten, and when you go in there are very old-school sofa seats and smallish tables The lighting is pleasantly dim, making it a calming space. I ordered the morning set. There were 3 kinds, and I went with the sandwich, boiled egg and coffee set. The portion was more than you'd expect for 500 yen, and I happily enjoyed it. The menu seemed full of light meals and lunches, with a few desserts written here and there too, so it's a place I'd like to come to a few more times.

A beloved kissaten in the old downtown where you can also have a meal. Everything from hamburg steak, pork ginger, Napolitan, pilaf, and gratin to grilled fish.

An old-school kissaten… I can't get enough~!! At "Tsukahara" on Norakuro-do street, everyone from what seem to be regulars to young people is relaxing in comfy sofa seats. They have not only morning sets, lunch and sweets but also an evening drinking menu, so you can use it any time of day nyame! The morning ham sandwich has a zingy kick of mustard, nostalgic and sooo goood!! The parfait is carefully and beautifully plated..! Its looks get you hyped, love it~!! No wonder it's got young people hooked! Plus the prices are fair and the staff are kind, so nice…. A lovely shop I can't help visiting whenever I'm in the area, I hope it stays around for a long time nyame~!
