Toshu could be one of the most affordable restaurants in terms of quality-price, as well as foreigner-friendly, that I have found in the Sumida district. They have several predefined menus, which are customizables in terms of size and the dishes that are already included on them. Fast and impeccable service, which is not surprising if you have already been in the country for a few days. The only thing perhaps in which it could be limited would be in offering space to large groups, as it is usually a transit place to eat alone or as a couple, at most. In conclusion, quite simple quality and very generous portions at a humble price, all to fill your stomach with a good taste in your mouth.

Had the twice cooked pork which was lovely. Also soy sauce ramen. Also nice. Would certainly eat there again.
