The Tokyo Metropolitan Waterworks Museum is located in the Ariake area. You can easily drop by and explore the exhibits at your own pace. The museum caters to visitors of all ages, offering videos, audio explanations, and hands-on workshops.
View on GoogleFree entry and the kids had a lot of fun. We probably could be there for 3-4 hours while they entertain themselves in the water play area! Don’t need a change of cloths as you’re suppose to not splash, not run, not throw, etc (you get the idea). 3 stories including a giant bubble making contraption, a 15 minute show about water, and other play areas. Suited for young kids. Only drawback is that there’s no food options and you generally can’t feed your kids onsite.
View on GoogleWe walked through the rain to this museum, it is closer to Tokyo Teleport and walk across the bridge. Very good hand on experience for kids
View on GoogleAmazing place to learn how water that comes to our homes is purified and made fit for drinking. Many hands on activities for kids to explore . A lovely museum with a theatre . We went for school trip and students enjoyed thorough. They even gave two return gifts . A big bag which can hold 5 liters of water and a kit. Spacious grounds and ample parking space .
View on GoogleIt worths our traveling of more than 1 hour in cold rainy day to visit here. My son loves it. 3 floors big building with different stations to learn about Water. There is a theater that shows you how water comes from nature to our house, it’s kind of cool. Other stations are mini games. This place is great for kids from 3-5 years old. And it’s totally FREE 😊 You should bring some snacks for your kids because no shopping mall, convenient stores nearby. If you care hungry, you can try the Lohas coffee that a few steps away, lunch meals there are affordable and tastes good.
