This is the Toki no Kane Plaza on the main street on the second floor of Senkyaku Banrai. The Toki no Kane (clock tower) towers large in the center. This Toki no Kane isn't one that was used at this location in the Edo period; it was built as a symbol of Senkyaku Banrai.
View on GoogleA bell tower reminiscent of Edo, or rather Kawagoe Tables and chairs are set up terrace-style around it, so it can serve as a meeting spot, and it's a nice plaza for a short break or eating takeout
View on GoogleToki no Kane Plaza is located in the central plaza of the Toyosu Senkyaku Banrai shopping street. A clock tower stands in the middle of the plaza, which is where the plaza gets its name.
View on GoogleIt's become a symbol, like Kawagoe's Toki no Kane There are tables and chairs around it so you can sit and eat what you bought. But there's no drink vending machine, so I wish they'd put one in. Everything's at tourist-spot prices, expensive everywhere...
View on GoogleIt was bigger than I imagined, which surprised me. It was a letdown that the bell sound came from a speaker. This place serves as an event plaza, and that day I got to watch a tate (staged sword fight) performance.
